The super coffee machine that he bought doubles walking speed between queues, and it actually speeds up the handing over of IDs and response times by patrons. It's like 500 milliseconds or something, but they add up over the night.

Just as a plot point; Your character is British, yes, but it's not a mistake they're in this situation. Your family immigrated to UK, but you were born in UK. Should mean you're British, but the new government in this game has decided even people born in Britain don't count as British if born from immigrant families, and are going to send everyone 'back where they came from'. So yeah, it's not accidental mudsdle up, it's purposeful targetting.

Not really, you can choose your own backstory, there is one, where you’re actually european, one where there’s an error with your documents because your grandpa forgot smth so you become stateless and i can’t really remember the last one. If it was like you said, how would Shanon be able to get a british id later in the game?

@@whexs4672 Literally no. There's not a single one where you're 'actually european'. And the grandfather losing documents is still the same as what i stated; family immigrated, YOU were born and raised in UK. Every single background in this game covers that fact. In normal law, your grandfather losing an immigration paper wouldn'y get YOU deported, or magically not British any more lmao. The backgrounds are: You were born in Birmingham, your granfather was nordic and has a missing immigration form. This probably means your parents were born in uk too. You were born in Bath, your parents were spanish charity workers who now live and work in UK. You were born in London, your grandmonther fled France during WW2, so again parents also probably born in UK. Alll of these are as I described; your family immigrated, you were born in UK. Edit: Oh yeah and the other point of this; if you're sent back to your families original country, you don't count as a citizen there because you were born and raised in Britain. Therefore if the one with the Spanish parents got sent back to Spain? He wouldn't have a Spanish citizenship and would also not be allowed to live, work and stay in Spain either. It's putting people in a beuracratic nightmare that usually results in immigration camps.

@@lorneytunes I thought I remembered that being a story relevant thing! Thanks for the reminder. I love how the news articles add a good bit of backstory. I believe that's where they mention that 'not British' counts up to I think 3 generations too.

I'm guessing the "actually British but they think you're European" is because there was a thing that a law seemed to be passed that someone had to be like 3 or 4 generations British to count. so someone whose grandparents immigrated would be considered for deportation as a result.

I think a better way to balance it would be to count people that you let in, even if they're wrong. Bc it's not like you can let unlimited wrong people in, AND they're still going in and buying shit, so it makes sense every way. Anyways, game looks cool and I'm loving the play through!

I still think he is going to get the bad ending simply because of the Drugs and Shanon. Getting Shanon's *Favor* for the final scene is so hard, since it requires skipping a seemingly mandatory mission (Going to the Secret Rebel Base to give Shanon the Third Record instead London Wall Jobs). I never sold drugs before so I don't know how much that effects Jubb's rating. Although, I really feel sorry for Shanon. She doesn't want the drinks, she just wants the music. The moment she is able to get in she gets screwed over by the laws, so I didn't feel bad helping her out legally.

Insym, your live stream with the papers please game, the one where you have to choose the person who dies, is gone. I’m guessing it was copy righted from the music, please upload it again soon! I only got to see a bit of the stream and I really wanted to watch the rest!!

That might be because Insym deleted it partially because he had very negative emotions about Death and Taxes by the end of the stream, i.e., unintuituve gameplay and the weight of certain actions not being proportionate to the results. Either that or he's mixing it down into a single video instead of a stream

the first bed upgrade is a visual upgrade as well: the starter bed is a blanket on two stacks of pallets, the upgrade is an actual mattress on one layer of pallets

Catching up, had to pause because that one manager mentioned "HypnOS". That is a reference to the EXCELLENT game Hypnospace Outlaw. Highly recommend a playthrough, think it would be right up your alley! Edit: LOL and the password is straight up the game the next night. What a cool, obscure reference!

Yeah I feel bad for him as an ESL speaker because there are SO many jokes he's not getting through either not having been exposed to enough British cultural history or just not knowing how to pronounce some of the words. The more slang and characterised speech the NPCs use the funnier it is for people who can understand it but for him it just makes it a struggle to understand what's even going on sometimes.
