How to bathe a big husky dog in the bathroom? Today is our dog grooming day. Husky Yuki calmly bathes in the bathroom. Cute husky allows you to wash her fur with fragrant shampoo for dogs. It takes more than an hour for a medium-sized dog to bathe. You also need to dry the dog's fur. You can only comb dry wool. combing huskies is a long process. You can do this all day and there will still be a little thick wool that will fall on the sofa and the floor of your room.

The fact that there is a lot of fur from huskies is not a myth, but a reality 😲 But we like to bathe and brush our puppies. The only problem is what to do with the wool? 🧐😉 Do you have any ideas on this?

What i did was make a small pillow out of it, unwashed, and whenever i introduce something for him that he's unsure about i use the pillow to lie ontop of it so his scent gets on it. Then again my dog also likes to take the dirtiest, smelliest piece of clothing he can find and drag it to where he sleeps.

@@edwinvermeulen8187 Yes, their smell is so so native to us. Although someone may not like the smell of wool. Despite the fact that huskies always smell very good, except in summer.

I have not bathed my Chad in years, and he still smells awesome not like most dogs! Husky's produce so much fur and natural oil it pulls dirt and bacteria away from their body, so they usually do not smell like most dogs. But yes, brushing is a must to help get out the buildup of undercoat for sure! I could tell Yuki is very use to it if I tried to baith Chad he would scream bloody murder and fight me all the way through it! LOL How do your other Husky's handle it? As to the fur I spread it out back for the birds and squirls to use for nesting they always take it!

@@daveb.4383 I've bathed mine twice, both times after he rolled in poop, first time was horse maneur, he loved the smell and just went to roll in it, as a result his entire coat smelled like it. He wasn't happy when we bathed him then. The second time he found cow dung, and rolled in that. That time he actually wanted to get bathed himself cause when we drove home from the walk, he was trying to get it off and was pawing his nose, he was verry happy when we bathed him the second time. Fortunatly he learns fast and those were the only two times he deliberatly rolled in poop

If you put the fur outside in the trees, birds can use the fur for their nests :)

I once read that you can place dog fur in bird feeders. Birds will collect it to build nests. The dog smell also keeps cats away. 😸

My vet told not to wash these dogs more than 1-2x per year because it washes out the natural and necessary oils in undercoat to keep them warm and dry during inclement weather. Just a thought to all watching.

Awwww Yuki looks soooo patient in the bath tub, that's a lot of fur 😯, and as u were vacuuming I noticed that 2 or3 tuffs of fur got a way, but probably gone by now, love this video 👍❤️ Yuki sooooooo cute 🥰.

One idea that I saw for all of the hair, was to put it in some sort of bird seed feeder of sorts? The birds can take the hair for their nests and clean up all of the mess. 👍

@@NorthYukiHusky Yes. A cage-like feeder works best so the birds can easily pull the hair free and fly off with it in their beaks.

Huskies haben keinen typischen Hundegeruch, nicht gekämmte Hundewolle hat einen Geruch. Es ist nicht sehr komfortabel für die Verwendung in Kissen. 😁

Well, you can build a whole new husky with the leftovers... 😂 If that wool is "healthy", you could place it outside for birds etc. as nesting material. Or stuff it into fabric and sew a cat or doggy bed? 🤔

Good use for excess fur is for birds. If there is a bird sanctuary nearby, they'd be happy for the nesting material.

Usually birds are happy to get such fur for nesting. So if you're in the countryside or park in spring, you may leave some of it there. Though I don't know what to do with bags of fur XD

Superbe animal que c'est gentil comme chien . Bon les poils à part faire un coussin de réconfort pour rassurer l'animal quand on s'absente si vous allez à la campagne offrez les aux oiseaux au printemps pour faire les nids. Sinon c'est poubelle car énormément d'animaux s'y installent. C'est confortable isolant du froid . Et si mouillé ca se mélange à de l'argile c'est solide pour enduire une cache à un truc genre tuyau vertical laid on ajoute des graines au mélange ou des plants avec des boules de bonne terre et on a un bon moyen de modifier son jardin pour pas un sou.

Maybe the fluff could be used by felters to create animals etc. They use unsound sheep wool so maybe husky fluff would work too!

@@NorthYukiHusky People make felted animals as a craft or art form. They use a felting needle and stab at the woolly material to lock the fibres together shaping it as they go. It’s quite a popular thing with websites etc dedicated to it.

You can turn the fur into yarn to knit stuff with you could also put some outside for birds to use to make their nests or use the fur as stuffing for pillows although I find doing this a little disturbing lol.

We collect this wool. We know about things made of wool, but this should be handled by a professional. In the forest, wool was hung for birds.

Bad idea. Dog hair has a specific smell. Most likely it will interfere with sleep.

Spirit likes to paddle but not Swim much (he's a bit scared to swim too far I think) ) My previous Husky; Sampson loved to swim and was a very good Swimmer. We live very close to a big river and the beach. He used to swim right out into the open water. What Country are you in? Are you near the water? Did you get any answers for idea's about the fur? I've often wondered this as well, there's so much of it and all year round, you would think it could be used to fill quilts or pillows, as it's very soft and insulates. I've noticed it also filters dirt.

Yes, we live near a large lake. I was advised to make a hat, a carpet, a pillow. Maybe I'll use these ideas 😉

Poor,poor yoki. All my dogs hate it, but she dosn't look too sad. Wini only has to take a shampoo bath, if he rolls in dead animals. If he only find shit to lay in, i take clear water and wash him outside.

We don't wash our puppies that often. Husky does not need frequent grooming. In autumn, to wash away the smell of river water. And in the spring to shed winter wool.
