THIS WAS SHOT BEFORE THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. STAY HOME!
We head up to Central California for the first time and meet up with our homie Blackhat. The first Central Cal Built To Destroy is with a long time friend of ours, Brad Vandergrift! His Chevy Silverado is a mostly garage build and he's killed it. He does have some unique things done to this and a few frists that we've never seen. Watch as we do a walk around of his truck and we go to a local spot and SEND IT.

Disclosure, I've had so many barrels scratched from (adults) this it's a bit personal. If your kid did that to mine I'd be happy/pissed but because they are honestly checking shit out, future desert/dune child. So that's somehow completely acceptable. But easy on the wheels please. 👍 For the interest in the kids looking, honestly that's the best part! You can always get another wheel but can never replace the smile on a kids face. People please do remember that.

What if you put a seakeeper gyroscope or something like that in the back? You could hook it up to your transmission with a cvt belt so you can boost the gyroscope speed on the straights and use the fly wheel to mechanically slow it down too, when you brake! Plus, that seakeeper gyroscope could actually give trucks video game air control. Man you gotta check out there KZfaq videos to see the potential of it being in a fast off road jumping trucks. Although I think you would have to shrink the gyroscope down proportionally, like maybe a 200lb fly wheel, I'm not sure. But I think I'm on to something to stop trucks from nose diving and to add stability in corners/ over bumpy flats. I'm honestly just commenting this Idea on all sorts of recent prerunner truck videos, because I would love to see it happen and I don't have the capital myself hahahaa.

How does the carburetor not flood out on whoops or jumps? I have a carbed stroker in my xj and have been told I won't be able to run a Holley carb on a prerunner

A normal carb can do just fine offroad, also theres several things you can tweak to improve on certain parts. Spring loaded needle and seats, some carbs have side mounted float boals. Atvs and dirtbikes have been running offroad carbureted forever.

Probably not,he's probably just trying to get more weight in the rear end to help keep the power planted to the ground,just a guess. You would think that a fuel cell like that would be reinforced somehow to help keep it from rupturing upon any sort of impact,hopefully it is anyway.

AL A with a stock frame rail you can get more travel, fit much bigger shocks, and have much better steering components but this is only compared to a bolt on a-arm kit. There’s a really long argument on which one is better and honestly it’s personal preference

Get in to a trade you'll do good save your money and be smart with your spending habits you can get one done in a few years and slowly build it up to where you really want it. These things aren't built over night man they take 4 5 even 6 or 7 years they're really never done you're always upgrading it or breaking and then strengthening it it's constant work you gotta be dedicated to it for sure. Not to mention most of these dudes either own a fab shop or work for one so they can do a lot of the work by themselves which helps in cost and time whenever they have a couple hours in the evening and the weekends they work on it a little. You can build a fun truck for a fairly decent price if you can do the work yourself. With smart budgeting of your money and a couple years of dedication anyone can have one

Brandon Caldwell You can buy parts a little bit at a time and build an affordable version of a truck like this. Once you have the parts and tools,you'll be more motivated and you can find the space afterwards. I saw a build on the HOONIGAN channel of an old Ford Explorer,they had 10K for parts and they did all of the work on it themselves and it was a very capable "trophy truck" type of build.
