With how I used to play games as a kid, I think it took me a few years. I'd play Jak 1 until I got stuck on a part (which happened a lot), then I'd swich over to Jak 2 and play until I got stuck (which happened A LOT since that game may as well be the Dark Souls of Jak games), then I'd switch over to Jak 3 and play that. I got stuck on a lot of missions, but I still liked just driving around the desert. Fun times

One time I 100% Jak and Daxter in one sitting. 12 hours. Probably 11 of those playing. I remember a few of the power cells were a lot harder than most of them, so I probably could have beat it in 4-5 hours. Which would still be at least 3 times Josh’s time. I remember one time, when my cousin stayed over, I beat the game 100% in a day. But no way would I get that done in 80 minutes. Insane.

@@Pineapple_Jim I was only familiar with Jak 2 tbh. Played TPL for like an hour (to Forbidden Jungle) years back on the HD trilogy but that was it until I bought the PS4 emulated one last week. Still amazed it's less than a gigabyte in size.

I think it wasn’t until high school that I found it. Took me dozens of attempts to get to it in time

@@TheZohan907 yeah the OpenGOAL version has some slight route changes compared to PS2 due to cutscene skips!

Nothing I think! I think both PS2 and OpenGOAL will continue to move forward :) As for me, you probably won’t be seeing much of me on PS2

The biggest time difference would be dialogue cutscene skips, fish RNG does work completely different in OpenGOAL, lurker aggro is a bit different as well, which changes a strat in LPC to break a couple of the orb crates.. Overall there are a few minor differences, but the major one is dialogue cutscene skips!

It's only an OpenGOAL thing! With cutscene skips enabled in the menu, you can just press triangle to skip them :)

I think that is impossible, considering the "best possible time" indicator that was likely made with help of a tool. Unless they find a way to glitch through many spots or some other thing but I think 99% of those ways have been discovered by now

@@TechWizard28 from what I remember, after LTS was discovered, any big jump in time reduction has been cut out. Although I remember him saying that they found a way to beat the game with only 6 power cells instead of 8 like in that guys video

@@TechWizard28 some guy found a way that could theoretically get you from FJ bridge above fisherman to the top of citadel. Since that method sends Jak flying so far and so fast, it could possibly get him to final boss in a couple seconds. Since the landing zone is really high for top of citadel and very small as well as really far away, it's extremely unlikely that anybody will ever manage that. That's the only way
