chess battle royale would actually be sick. like 100 players. starting off, they move like a pawn. then they get upgrades like, being able move 1 square diagonally, ability to move like a king,knight, etc, and first person to find a promotion square can promote to fully move like a bishop,rook,knight,queen, last man standing wins.

If it’s hard for everyone everyone it’s more likely to be bad which means it’s more likely for everyone to be the same level, so it’s mostly a 1/4 chance of winning if you already know how to play chess and your decent at playing chess

If the win rate is 1% as claimed in the thumbnail, that means the loss rate is 3% (since it is a 4 player game, where anything but 1st place is considered a loss) and therefore the draw rate is 96%. If the draw rate is 96% that suggests that the game is very boring and easy to draw, making it possibly the easiest chess variant, not the hardest.
