tips for King Calvus; Calvus is basically just a parry-check boss. what that means is the game is pretty much checking how much you have learned and listened to the hints, specifically the "Dodging and Blocking" hint, where you use G to block, and pressing G right before an attack hits you will massively reduce damage. what you can do during some of calvus's attacks: the pillar attack: you can shoot him with a gun, dash and jump, and press g. you'll still get hit by the pillar, but only the first one and you'll take significantly less damage. in both the first phase and second phase, after you jump out, you can barrage him with ranged weapons. the first phase pillars makes him vulnerable for much shorter so only use blast after you get out of the first pillar, then use guns and bows. the second phase pillars makes him vulnerable for longer, as he has a pulsar-sort attack after all 3 pillars are struck which flings you around if you get close. he only drops down when the pulsar-type attack is finished. use that to your advantage. the aether magic barrage is the one where he jumps up and shoots blasts at you and dashes at you. what you want to do for that is you want to just run around until all blasts are shot, then when he dashes, dash forwards and press G. after he's stopped moving you can attack him. that one attack where he charges up a big ball and throws it at you: attack him whilst he's charging, then stand still until it hits you. when it hits you, press G. that one attack where it looks like he's charging a ball but then it turns into a pulsar: you can never tell whether he's charging a self pulsar or a thrown blast, so whenever you see him charging that move (it's like a large circle with aether magic, which is the magic calvus uses), just dash out of the way and keep your distance. not only is Calvus a parry-check boss, he's also a trial and error boss like elius for new players. whenever you do your next challenge, or just level up your next file normally, i hope these tips help. enjoy.

Do the harder version, 19 weapons 28 strength to lock you to warlord so your magic skills deal less damage

Me when i lie The earlier you hit him during his charge animation the less damage he does, because he immediately cancels it. It has nothing to do with hitcount.

im not sure if DoT will help with death scumming. almost all bosses (except argos and iris for whatever reason) **can't** be hit through walls, you have to be able to see them and them to see you in order to damage them with anything.

I should've, but I just have terrible luck, I was surprised that I even got a musket lol.

the gun/weapon type (whether it's Bronze or Old/Dull or Good) doesnt dictate the damage. it's the level of the weapon, the enchant of the weapon, your player level and how much power you have. at max weapon level, a Bronze Musket and an Old Musket do the same damage when you have the same power and same enchantment on it.

Old things are capped at level 50 and regular are capped at 100 so if he had a elius bow it would only get him 10 more levels bc he’s lev 115 for Calvus. Unless he was using old weapons there isn’t much of a difference. ALSO ENCHANTS WOULD HELP and if he forgot about enchants he prob forgot about upgrading the weapons levels@@epiilos

@@ArcaneOdysseyLover same thing, though. max level, same damage. same enchantment, same level, same damage. same power, same level, same enchantment, same player level, exact same damage. stormcaller wouldnt help him in the calvus fight as he wouldnt have any points anyways. the only thing that makes stormcaller better than other bows is the Q move- most bows have it as 'Rain of Arrows', which is just 8-16 circles of arrows in a small radius which barely hits. 'Storm of Arrows', which is the stormcaller version, has a much larger radius, and more arrows flying down.

And also if u decided to grind a b8t more u can get reflexes at level 120

tbh screenshake is probably what causes most people to lose to calvus, due to his attacks causing the screen to literally have a stroke and you can't see what's coming and the next thing you know he's charging up pillars.
