Thank you for making this game. It reminds me of my favorite game I used to play with my family called "Rivers, Roads, and Rails". This was like the big brother to that game and it brings me so much joy knowing I can still play a version of the game I used to love.

The quests require more and more if you don't cap of big things. And the flags give you more cards for capping of the feature they're in. So i recommend that you try to cap stuff off before they get to big. But you can play it however you want.

Actually as long as you don't "enclose" an area (fields, forests cities etc...) the required numbers will just keep getting bigger. You can "enclose" an area by just surrounding it with other borders (the color is shown on tiles) The water building is a rail/boat connection. It is mostly for fun but can be usefull to stop a railtrack.

I absolutely love this game and am glad to see youve found it. Its very relaxin but also has just enuf goals and progression to keep us comin back for more. This is one of only a small handful of youtuber played games that i got cuz of someone playin it and nvr knew about before. Another is Townscaper which gives me similar feels to this but it had no progression or scorin and you just effectively create a town by paintin little blocks down in one of a dozen or so colours and watchin how the algorithm decides to generate that terrain. So like, your first click puts a foundation, but if ya click on it again you get a house on that. But you can also then delete the foundation and you get a cool house on stilts with a ladder. And it has a ton of other cool interactions to discover and scenes to create. It rly feels like a colourin game but where i colour with houses instd of like a crayon; if that makes any sense.

2 minutes into the video and this reminds me of the board game Carcasonne. You take turns placing a tile and building up your cities and roads to get the most points. It's a lot of fun!

A card showing an exact number has very specific requirements that must be met exactly. A card showing a number with a + wants you combine at least that many criteria, more are accepted The hidden cards you uncovered unlock special cards permanently if you manage to fulfill their requirements.

Blitz, the little flags on the map are quest to cap off a type of area (fields, forest, cities, water routes or RR). You have to close off where the highlights indicate to finish the resource area and be awarded tiles (five tiles per flag so capping an area that has 3 flags will give you 15 more tiles). You need to watch your tile count, the number of flags for a particular feature and how many tiles it will take to cap it off. Capping areas is a good way to keep the game going.

BTW did you know that if you close off forests rivers towns fields and railroads the numbers won't get so big. Also if you see the little flags that pop up they're bonus quests to close off the mentioned things.

You should defenetly play townscaper if you like chill games! There are no restrictions unlike here, and the game is focused on building houses and buildings. You will make a small town with tiny houses, keep going and without knowing you have 20+ hours in the game and have probably built a huge cathedral or a giant castle by then.

*cries in the youtuber not knowing how to do perfects* for those who dont know this game, a perfect is when all 6 sides of a tile match its surrounding tile type. example would be a tile with one side forest, 4 sides planes and one side house with a surrounding match of every type, you get 100 points and an extra tile. its not much, but it can be your saving grace when you're low. not to mention large scale quests and regular quests give a certain amount of tiles if completed, like you've seen.
