Amen! She’s right, how could anyone who has an encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ ever be the same. A relationship with Him is life changing, a continuous learning experience. He delivers us from the sin that holds us captive and many times it’s an extended process of being changed from the inside out. Some people begin focusing on the outward things first, but you can’t get there until you actually have the relationship with God by faith in Jesus Christ. We put off sin after we know Him, because He convicts us of sin and gives us power to rule over sin. As she said, her choice caused her to backslide and godly sorrow led her to repentance and forgiveness. God leads you out of sin into the Light. He gives you the Holy Spirit and power to put off sin. You come to God as you are and IF you actually encounter the Lord Jesus Christ and follow Him THEN HE begins a work in you AND gives you power to do the will of God. You won’t be able to sin AND not feel conviction for doing so. You know when you step into sin and are separated from Him, as she said. Godly sorrow leads to repentance and right standing with God. As for continuing to sin once you believe, that was her route, but it’s not the best route. Godly sorrow that leads to repentance is desirable sooner rather than later, but I get what she meant. When you truly have a relationship with Christ…He changes you and it’s a process. It’s actually a lifetime process. He starts where you are to bring you to where He created you to be, so that process is the same (same lessons; doctrine) and yet people learn them at different points in their relationship with Him.

yess they are. Absolutely. Also, a lot of people need to be careful what they say to children. Jackie Hill Perry has spoken a lot about how people/parents have a big responsibility with the formation of a child’s identity. When I was a kid, I liked to wear what I consider comfy clothes, and many considered that I looked like tomboy. My dad would say “you’re always wanting blue and darker darker tone colors and always look boyish. You look like a lesbian.” He used to always question my identity in ways that were harmful. Just because your child may like certain things that societal norms have made to be associated with a particular sex, doesn’t mean that they lean towards homosexuality or even being trans. Planting that in a kids mind can be harmful and how you say things really matters. The way my dad used to say tings to me, made me think and can make one think, “then I guess I am this or that because they’re telling me that I look like one and am that.” Therefore causing that young person to enter that lifestyle. Parents and other adults that people entrust their children to need to be very careful. Your child liking to play with trucks for example or liking to wear sweats and baggy clothes doesn’t mean that they are gay or let alone questioning their sex. There’s a huge agenda right now related to this. And the adults are responsible. It’s really sad.

Which is so scary and sad for young kids to be lead into the wrong paths all because people can't keep their mouths shut. Instead of saying such things, shy don't they just let them be kids. When I was young I always dressed for comfort and practicality because I was into a lot of sports. I dressed with muted colours, and joined many "male" sports. Although I still didn't know who I was into (boys or girls) I knew that boys were the ones I could see myself date and marry. Many people around me would comment (still do) that I dressed like a lesbian, my hair was too short ( I cut my hair short for the summer) I need to be more feminine, but I was literally 14. All I cared about was sports and art. I never had crushes or sexual desires at that point. Then the comments started to implement in my mind and I thought for a long time I needed to be a boy. I wanted to get top surgery, I wanted to become a man. But deep down it was just voices and comments telling me that. I was afraid of actually committing to that. I was so lost and the people around me comfused me even more. Comments, conversations, "I am this, so you might be too" friends, etc. Fast forward couple years later I was delivered and born again and I love being a woman. I look forward to marrying a godly man and I blocked people who commented and implemented thoughts like those in my head, from my life. People need to be extremely careful with things they say especially to children, because yes they have a mind of their own, but unfortunately they can be easily manipulated and swayed.

I've known at least 8 LGBTQ people, each different, over the last 50 years. Most of them have been ethical, spiritual, and loving. Two of them took several years to know their identity for sure. Ancient peoples needed to be very concerned with having enough children to maintain their populations and to carry on the faith (and so alternative gender ID could interfere with that), but Jesus taught us to lead by example and by love, not by shaming others or trying to force them into molds.

I would say she had a connection with Jesus because people weren’t preaching at her. The problem is Christians follow Paul in the Bible way too much and just completely bulldoze over what Christ said, and that turns a lot of people away I know so many people who’ve been turned away by Christians, trying to share their faith, because that person is sharing their faith from a really superficial way that is completely out of touch with gods well so I would say yeah, the reason she had the experience with Christ is because God is always reaching out to us and in all of the situation of the Bible with the disciples they became disciples, because God touch them not because somebody else was like. Hey, do you wanna know about Jesus. It’s really frustrating because I myself as a Christian have been hurt by other Christians trying to do the will of God and go on the warrior path and I have seen so many other people just completely and absolutely turned away and I guarantee those people will be in heaven and a lot of people calling themselves.
