1:26 - This is what I like about the 'pre-ford' era Volvos, the random strange placement of things like that speaker plonked ontop of the dash, looking completely out of place, but sounding absolutely fantastic. Older Volvos definitely have that feel that they were designed with the intentions that quality and longevity comes first, with aesthetics second (or third xD)

My dad used to own one in black, non cabrio version with beige interior. very very sleek car. The 2.3 T5 is definitely the best version. He also had it converted to LPG. I don’t have my license yet, but when I do I’m planning on buying one, preferably in dark blue metallic. But we’ll see!

Hello Geoff, crazily, I have chatted to this cars previous owner a couple of years back. I am based near Bude, in North Cornwall. I didn't realise that it was for sale. How do I go about buying a ticket please? My 850 T5 Estate has given many people a lot of pleasure over the past 6 years. I do Charity Track days with it and take passengers in all my sessions at Castle Combe Circuit. Currently, I have a Renault Megane Convertible. There is potential for your car to make money for worthwhile charities, if I was lucky enough to win it. Amongst the said charities would be UK Military and Cancer charities and many passengers from those said charity benefactors.
