For the exhaust please put active stacks on it not the fake ones, do the bullet cab lights and visor seperate, i think it would look better with taking the red out of the badges. Also a good apu unit and lots of lights lol. Other then that love that color blue. Congrats on a well deserved purchase

Old school all the way!! Sleeper and cab drop panels, a thiC!! Visor, traditional 5 cab light or 9 would be ok, lights everywhere and switch backs like blue collar, some sexy flat top stacks deck plate. I mean a guy can just go on and on with little things here and there. Man can’t wait to see that thing doing work. Congratulations sir..

Nice ride I’m glad to see you’re keeping old blue collar. As far as the new ride goes the bullet lights and drop visor to keep it classy. Nice sounding air horns possibly.dual straight pipe exhaust nothing ridiculous huge.Full wheel fenders painted if possible. And train horns just because.

Bullet clearance lights, visor, leave the red in the Peterbilt keep it old school. As for the gauges on the dash. I would take the front axle and rear axel gauges to the left of the switches. Put them all the way to the left one above the other in that void and move the switches to the left closer to the driver. Beautiful truck.

Agreed… active stacks. There’s nothing worse than seeing a sweet left lane large car with a nice pair of 8 inch Dynaflex stacks with a grass burner exhaust underneath. Definitely remove the red from the ovals. Bullet clearance lights are a must… especially going old school. You need some Double JJ headlights for that old school 359 look. Add some cab and sleeper panels with the little bullet lights along the bottom edge. Finish it off with a set of deep drop half fenders. Oh and don’t forget the train horns.

Congrats Bruce!!!!! you have some old school look going, do a drop visor with a full row of lights on top of the cab, do a bumper with hidden mounting bolts, 8 inch curve out pipes with picket elbows and they need to be hooked up!!! fake pipes are not cool! put like 7 more grille bars in the grille, and get rid of that mid ship light above the fuel tanks!!!!!! there is so much you can do to a Pete!!!! I have a buddy that has a glider kit from them with a 550 Cat in it what a nice truck! can't wait so see what you do to the Big Girl!!!!!!

When I saw this truck I just thought "blue thunder" I had a brand new Pete 579 . When I got it it bnb only had 333 miles on it. And those were towed miles. It was piggy backed to the terminal. I worked at TMC trucking out of des Moines Iowa. Drove for them for 5 years. Ended up being a driver trainer. Made great money was home every weekend. I had a new baby and decided to come home off the road. I do miss the windshield time. I loved that office with a window view! Made alot of friends out there. I hit all 48 states. Maybe some day I'll get back out there..... that's a beautiful truck Bruce. Congratulations! Enjoy it.

How in the heck do you do it? I’ve watched you go through several pickups and flat and nasty. You had two different diesel repair shops again since I’ve been watching you. Then one day you were gone but thanks to Tim Gentry he let us know some of the reasons why you were gone and where you were. He actually did a lot to keep people interested in you. He stood up for you when a lot of people didn’t. Now you’ve got your dads old tractor business and your out blowing money like a drunk sailer. I really do think your out busting your butt, and for your wife and kid sake I hope so. Your new truck is awesome!!! I really do like you and I still think your a excellent diesel mechanic. Just would like some reassurance that everything is on the up and up.

$275k? I bought a 379 in 2002 that cost $135k +/-… I had a tough time with the $2800 per month nut on that… How the hell are you going to make any money with those $4500 per month payments on $275k? A lot of guys believe that making the payment on their truck is considered part of their profit… WRONG. It’s no more part of your profit than fuel is… it’s a depreciating asset. Not only do you need to make the crazy payments but you also need to set aside the cost of the depreciation over the next five years… What will it be worth once it’s paid for? 100k… 125k? Now, subtract the difference between what you paid an what it’s worth… $150k… now divide that by 60 months and you’ll see why your not making any REAL profit. You need to set an additional $2500 per month aside for depreciation… so now your at over 7k per month. That’s the real cost of purchasing a $275k truck… I wish all of you the best of luck because in this day and age… luck is all you can hope for…

Maybe like any good truck owner you should have taken care of a lot of these mechanical issues before the goodies ! It's a 30 year old truck with a bunch of miles on it why don't you start again with it and do it right !! Step by step you would have some good videos rather than bragging about all your toys and new Peterbuilt !!! The old freightliner is a nice old truck !! My 389 was a 290 inch, front bagged as well, Bright Teal and Bad Ass Beautiful. Bruce I would call it "Blue Goose" it needs Billet Clearance Lights, Nice Drop Visor, Drop Cab & Sleeper Panels with underneath LED's lighting. Hidden DEF Tank, Drop Bumper with Flip out Kit, Rear Sleeper LED's, Hogebuilt 34 inch perfect mirror finished 430 stainless steel with triangle arm quarter. or Hodgebuilt Stainless Double Hump Fenders, 8" Dynafles Exhaust, Maybe a Rear T-Bar Bumper with LED's lighting, Maybe 7" Single J LED Headlights or Modern Style LED'S, Smooth Stainless Steel Battery and Passenger Storage Boxes with Step Plates,
