this is so cool! I so wanted to learn all this from my dad but he's not a good teacher and has no patience! thank you for explaining the planter! Maybe I can take over the farm one day!

Great video as the one where you present your new tractor! I think that you should do a video where you talk about other pieces of equipment that you have (if it’s the case!). Also, you should talk about your vision for the farm (short and long term) and yours goals for your first year (and after). Keep going! I’m a third generation farmer in Quebec, Canada and i know that farming it’s not easy. So, being a first generation farmer is quite a challenge. If you have any question, feel free to ask. I’m a agnomist too!🤠

No need to buy a fertilizer cart. Your co-op should have a buggy you can rent with an auger. Honestly though if I were you I’d just pay a custom applicator to spread granular and then spray your herbicide applications.

That 1750 is CLEAN. As a dealer technician I got in right after these stopped coming through regularly. The oldest planters i work on are VRD maxemerge units

YeahI sure thought so. One of the cleanest ones I could fine. I think I paid a premium for it, but should work great for me for years to come.

You can remove that auger system from the planter and just put the fert right into each box, It was added onto the planter.

That makes sense! Didn't even think of that as an option but it's so obvious now. Thanks!

If there are other farmers in your area I am sure they can give you advice on your planter. There is always help out there if you ask for it.

Are you really saying you didn't know what row markers were?

I knew nothing about farming before starting. It's all foreign to me, but we are learning quickly, mostly by screwing it up over and over :). Thanks for watching!
