The only reason it was booting slow was the fact that open core legacy patcher and a newer macOS version was installed. Got a 17" 2010 model with big sur and it's also loading around two minutes.

Quite often I think, I got a 2012 MacBook Pro for £42 and it ended up working perfectly

Thank you, this video was a bit difficult to make and actually isn’t getting anywhere near as many views as I usually do which is unfortunate… but I’m glad you enjoyed the video, it’s not that hard to get locked MacBooks you just have to find cheap listings and don’t bid until the last minute

@@itechyt9990 I got a 2009 MacBook Pro that worked fine minus the battery & hard drive for £26 (best offer) I threw in a spare SSD I had just lying around and sold it for £55, ez profit lol

Wait so what did you do to bypass the password login? Was it just the internet recovery?

The 2010 MacBook Pro does unofficially support 16 gigabytes of RAM.

That’s only the 13” Core 2 Duo models, the 15” and 17” only support 8GB.
