Buick.. The great American road belongs to Buick... The Roadmaster was a real winner when it was new. Chevy and Cadillac and Buick should not have been the only ones to get a car on that platform. They sold well too because of the comfort, and the luxury and the engine. Good for you on your purchase.

You are definitely right on about that restorable paint,Al.you know how to restore the paint without burning through it like a lot of jerks do because they don’t know what they’re doing, and they’re in a hurry.

I have a buddy of mine who's got an 05 merc grand marquis in his family that was his aunt's she passed in 2012 and the car has only been started and driven around the block and it looks brand new inside and out with no rust. His family offered it to me for $2000 or best offer and they'll hold it for me until I have the cash saved up. Going to take it. Hoping to pick her up this summer for my 1st car. His aunt bought it new in 05 and hardly drove it so it's low mileage but idk the exact mileage. Perfect example of someone that doesn't know what they have. He wants me to have it because I'll take care of it.

Damn that is a good deal for the roadmaster! If its not starting right up it might be the Optispark distributor. If the water pump goes on these then it leaks directly onto the Optispark.

If you haven't driven it a 94 to 96 Roadmaster you have no idea of the power these things lay down. My 94 has only 45,000 miles on it and it can blow the tires off unlike anything I've driven that weighs 4500 lbs. From what I can tell this was a pretty good bye. Especially the body being in such great shape. The side moldings are notorious for falling off these cars. All in all she looks good.

Takes a lot of skill to bring it back to life correctly.

Why would someone but new tires for a car like this and get blackwalls? They make a classy car like this look so homely; like a Biscayne taxi cab.

You can get an identical replacement grill on fleabay for about $40 shipped and a brand new grill will do a lot for the car. I'd get a test size can of matched paint ($6) from a sherwin williams and dab it on the steering wheel , light coats with a sponge every day for a couple days. You stole that car.
