I love Corvettes. I have had five of them over the years , starting with a '66 427 to my last one, a black on black C6. Corvettes are fun, but can be frustrating. Hold on to your wallet when you go to buy parts.

No doubt about it it 100% has an after-market cam in it my dad has a 77 Nova with a 350 and he has an after-market Cam and it doesn't even have a lump as much as that one does

Hey I'm a Corvette owner. So happy to see this kid having his first Vette. I brought my 98 Vette at the age of 32 and I'm 34 now.. My friend save this machine and have fun with it. Do what ever you like to do to it without give up because of someone that write or tell you something negative. Learn and have fun man!

Bigger crank? Means you could have got a 383 stroker. They make a ton of torque so they'll get you mowing even without an aftermarket cam. To me it does not sound like it has a big cam but it could have a mild cam. Which is good, because you dont want to overcam it!

3500 is fair. I mean, it's a project for a beginner to wet his whistle on! Someone in the business for longer wouldn't have touched it cause the body alterations made some time in the car's life! But chassis is sound, the car actually runs and the rust issues seem minimal from what I can see on the video (and I assume you and your buddy looked it over much better). For what it is, at that price point... I say it sounds good! And looks like it's gonna be a lot of fun

Check the frame for rot or repairs and all body mounts. i would say you done pretty good on the purchase and should be a cheap way to get into the v8 sports car hobby!

It sounds like a Lower 200-250 Cam, Not too crazy but it definitely is not stock. My '68 Mustang has a 314 lift and is a little more a aggressive but not by much.
