I think they should just start their own brand and call it chibson

I noticed right off the bat how well my standard cherry burst chibby LP felt in my hands , it blew my other budget LPs away,if your a player, you owe it to yourself to get a guitar that's is as close to what your going for, by buying the same body shape and having a neck that feels as good as a real les paul, the chibson does that, and they have stepped up their game as far as quality goes,and they make a great modding platform.

The finish is beautiful and it looks like they got the headstock pretty accurate this time! Upgrade the pickups, nut and tuners and give us a follow up!

I own 4 and I swap out the tuning pegs period, I sold a 62 SG reissue to buy the 4 chibsons, and have 1/2 the money left, these come intonation set and no reason to swap out pickups, maybe the pots, but if you own a good amp, you would enjoy these guitars no matter what name is on it

Think of these as Epi's without quality control. Just know if you are thinking about one, you better have a good buddy who is a guitar tech or be wanting to learn to do your own fret work, setups etc.

As a true Gibson Les Paul owner.... I'd leave it at home.... and rock a chibson at a gig.

The quality of a Chibson is dependant on the guitar factory supplying the store you bought it from, or the company distributing them. Some factories make guitars that outside of the cheaper electronics, and nut, are comparible to Epiphone, and are well worth the price. However you can get a real lemon from some factories who are not interested in quality.

You should try some Iron Gear pickups. They are inexpensive and kick ass.

All it needs is a new bone nut, guitar looks excellent, you lucked out on the damage, could of been way worse,new pickup ring is no biggie.

People are always knocking chibsons, but they don’t realize that not everybody has 5k to drop on a guitar. You buy a chibson and expect to modify it. You’re buying a body. No big deal. They’re fun to work on.

I would expect you to have to put in your own pick ups... Cause a 300 Chipson is not going to have 300 dollar pickups too.. What you got is fit and finish and you will still have mod it a little...Tuners and pickups for sure

Man, this was cool video. I gotta say I'm impressed with the overall quality (sure, flaws..) but I always thought these would be unplayable. How much was this again? Will be interesting to see how this compares to my Epi Les Paul Custom... I mean it looks great. Can't believe it actually has Gibson written on the headstock - you can get Fenders etc too? I remember once I saw an Ibanez Jem... Chibanez I should say haha

I knowingly bought a new Chibson Les Paul Standard and put genuine Gibson pickups, pots and tuners in it, l also did the intonation and action adjustments and polished the frets. It looks, plays and sounds just like a real Gibson Les Paul now. I love how I saved over 2 grand and people don't know the difference at all !

There are far better guitars for 350 bucks than the one you got but if it looks the part has the name on the headstock that you wanted and you were looking for a project then more power to you.

ive been playing for 30 year.s i have the money to buy several real guitars. i have three chibsons, with upgrades they are awesome and a lot more affordable, dont over pay for real gibsons fenders prs etc. my 800 ibanez roadstar destroys all of my les pauls and strats

I play gibson SG's and V's exclusively and I can tell by lookinjg at it for less than a minut that it isnt real. and that goes with the sound as well. those are not PAF's

$3.000 for a ten pound guitar that will not stay in tune and will break very easily. On top of that, the quality is far below other guitar makers. Heavy, fragile , expensive, wont stay in tune, poorly made.,why?

No matter what company it betrays the customer. So go for chinese stuff, pay 1/10 or less and tune it well. Damn Fender, Gibson, ... they don't come up with something new. Just strat les paul and tele on and on and on. I bought a guitar new for 200 bucks and spent 120 in hardware and 100 for the luthiers. It hangs on the wall ready for combat beside my Gibson SG original and the Les Paul original. She looks better, fits my demands and sounds far better. She is lighter and fluid to play. Another one I just sawed a chunk off, hollowed the body and closed it with some ply wood. She is half acoustic now and sounds different. Hell I am so sick of allways the same sound, shape, ... GoCreate. Anything is asia. China, vietnam, japan. And the japanese stuff has always been far more inovative and better than the stuff from Germany or the US. Porsche uses tons of vital components from JP. ECU, gearbox, sensors, ... because ZF Bosch and G-Trac are way too expensive and JP stuff works perfect.

Shouldnt it say Chibson on the head stock.....I say go for it.. Im retired and these days the music industry is screwed up.. All the companies are woke and dont have our best interests at heart anyway.. So why not buy direct from China because most stuff is made in China anyway...If you can get a good deal and then yopu have some cash to mod it out like you want it..Thats a deal.. I hear you can custom order a guitar from IYV out of vietnam....for a great price....Even their cheaper guitars are supposed to be descent...The thing with guitars is patents are really done...I cant believe they still have some leway on copying their guitars..Because every other business design patents only last 15 years.....
