I BOUGHT A CUPRA FORMENTOR!! - First Impressions and Could It Be The BEST Car I've Owned?
Yes I've bought a new car and its this beautiful Cupra Formentor VZ3 310ps 2.0 tsi 4Drive!
The Cupra Formentor is a compact crossover SUV (C-segment) manufactured by the Spanish car manufacturer SEAT under their Cupra performance-oriented sub-brand.[5] Marketed as a coupé SUV, it is the first car designed specifically for the sub-brand. The production version was revealed in March 2020, after its unveiling was postponed when the COVID-19 pandemic led to the cancellation of the 2020 Geneva Motor Show.[6] It was previewed as a near-production concept vehicle at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show.[7] It is named after the Formentor peninsula on the Spanish island of Mallorca.[8] Production of the Formentor started in late September 2020.

OMG jas you will absolutely love this as ive not actually had one of these cars before but i have a 2022 Leon Cupra 300 & that's a weapon too!! So im sure you will be we'll happy with it nice one Jas!!👌🏻👍🏻😃

Just ordered one. Eta is month away. Can´t wait to launch it. Got a good deal of overload edition, so it has all the bells and whistles you can get. I had 3 vw:s before so no big jump for me, but it is nice to have some power at last after diesels. Nice to see you like yours so i think i made a right choice.

I hired a formentor when i went to france and i fell in love with it it's the best car i've ever driven, Unfortunately i can't afford a top spec one yet but as soon as i can i will be getting the VZN :D Enjoy the car i'm jealous 🙃

So, I got my Formentor VZ already 3 years ago. It will go out of lease in 8 weeks. I ordered a new one since I got a great loyality deal by Cupra. My spec looks almost identical to yours from the outside. Same color, same rims. I didn't order the pan. roof and the Brembo. But I went for the Pilot Sport 4 option, the Akrapovic Exhaust System and the Carbon Bucket Seats this time. I also checked all the other boxes, like Wireless Android Auto, Beats Audio, Electric Tailgate, 360° Camera, Dark Aluminium Pedals and I also went for the full Carbon Copper Side View Mirror Caps. Never seen them on any Cupra before, so I'm quite excited how they look like. The car has a real good build quality and offers A LOT for the money. Its almost a jack of all trades. Enjoy!

Always good to hear you wanted one again! Sounds really good, I would love the akrapovic exhaust that would give it a nice sound. I bet the carbon bucket seats look the part, very nice and no I've never seen the mirrors In that style either be something different. As a current owner of the base model v2 I don't get to have the thrills of 310ps however I'm contemplating px for the Born next gen, but as far as the formentor goes I like mine but I don't love it unfortunately, just the infotainment system takes around 20 seconds to get all booted up which is annoying when you wanna get going, however the only thing I do love is the look and the drive is top quality 😊

Thanks for watching! Ok so you want to go fully electric? I'm not convinced still and that's why I've gone for a 310ps petrol haha. Shame you don't love it, I've had the car nearly 2 months now and love everything so far about it. I've not had one issue with the infotainment system, it's been really fast and responsive for me. I guess sometimes it's luck of the draw 👍

I wouldn’t say it’s a step up from a 1 series the build quality and materials are better in a 1 series. The cupra you have a lot of cost cutting like no strut for the bonnet. Exposed exterior paint on the inside B pillar. Cheap plastic mid to lower., no backlight heating slider. Only drivers seat is electric. Passenger side is manual. It’s a MQB car so based off a Golf. Although it’s a lot of car for the money and the EA888 engine is good.

So far I'm finding it better then my 1 series as a whole package. But I know there are some parts they have cut cost on but other parts of the car is a step up on the 1 series. Thanks for watching 👍

It's a weird question probably, but how it compares to the M135i? Mainly considering driving experience and performance (I don't really need the additional space it probably offers)

Thanks for watching! Not a weird question at all mate. So overall I feel this car is better than the BMW M135i, it feels like you're driving a hatchback, just with the extra space. Performance wise the Cupra feels a little faster but there is not alot in it tbh, but it launches alot better. Overall I'm really happy with it and didn't expect it to this much better than the m135i if I'm honest. I will be doing a video on this car again once I've had it a bit longer to do a full review video. Thanks for the comment 👍

@@the_jnlt_channel One question more though - I know You disliked the gearbox in the M135i (or rather just didn't like it as much as You would like to). How is the Cupra's gearbox? I've heard DSG can be quite sleepy too.

Sorry I missed this reply. So I find the gearbox in the Cupra slightly better, changing up and down feels more responsive but sometimes from 2nd to 1st or other way around it's a little clunky in sports. That's what I've noticed so far 👍
