@@TreasureHuntingWithJebus Yes you both really should and Amber was right about what Suboxone is used for . It is a combination of two drugs - buprenorphine and naloxone - that work chemically to decrease the severity of withdrawal symptoms and reduce a patient’s dependence on opioids in the long term . I just saw this comment about this unit ... Pregnant mother lost her life. And the baby didn't make it either. Guy went to jail and here is where his family threw out all of his things knowing he can't pay the rent. Im gonna guess that after losing his partner and his child he turned to drugs to try to numb or forget the pain then ended up in jail . Sadly it seems that when he needed his family the most they werent there . It isnt easy to find a doctor to prescribe Suboxone , not all doctors can prescribe it . it seems he wanted to try getting clean. A very sad story , though if people look there is usually some sort of sad story , trauma , abuse etc that leads to drug use and addiction .

The Crown Royal bag didn't appear to me to be rocks per se. They look more like petrified rib bones from some prehistoric animals. You might have found some dinosaur bone fragments. That megalodon tooth is probably worth up to $250. The first rocks looked like they could have quartz which could contain gold ore. Obviously, a small amount of gold but that could be worth a little as well. The long rocks appear to be fossilized bones. Value of them would depend on what animal they are from. Hope you hung on to all of the above.

@@noelsingletary Sure you did. I comprehended what _you wrote_ very effectively. I see that clear communication through writing is not _your_ forte. You said "Since _he_ obviously doesn't know what _he_ has, _he_ most likely junked all of it. That is the problem with some of these vloggers." "He" and "vloggers" are indeed the same, the way you wrote it. You also repeated the same problem in both sentences, "he most likely junked all of it" and "antiques and other valuables just carelessly handled and thrown away by the idiots.." Then your final words "they had no understanding of the significance of what they had" again repeats the problem that you claimed "he" had in the first sentence! If "he, "these vloggers" and "idiots" were _not_ meant to be the same, then the one with the lack of forte, albeit communication through writing, is _you._

It is sad because this person obviously had a life before the drugs helped to ruin it. The collections he had that were still so important to him (I assume it was a guy) that if he is still alive, sitting in a prison somewhere I'll bet you he thinks about what he has lost. I hope that this man finds recovery and is able to get a life happening again. In my AA room there is a sign that reads: There but for the Grace of God go you and I. what you called a 'cape' is a fox STOLL.. possibly mink (or by the face, maybe sable?) it wraps around the shoulders over a nice outfit or evening dress, very chic for a woman to own in the 5Os/6Os.. and since it seems a mans unit, this is possibly the last thing he hung onto from his mother or grandmother.. whoever had this unit was clearly a drug addict.. . the 'rocks' could be gemstone rough..! like opal, crystals, agate, garnet, possibly amethyst.. all are semi-precious (the only precious are emerald, ruby, sapphire and diamond).. the rough can be sold in a combined lot easily, if thats what they are.. . lastly, without getting into legalities, the little gun is worth more than you think.. it looked in great shape! and its a nickel finish, ld say easily $1OO.. . p.s. no freakin wayyy lol

I would have guessed an elderly and sickly couple with cancer, and diabetes. Maybe with dementia or Alzheimer's by the way it was packed. It had to have been a very old 'drug dealer' by the looks of the age of things they pulled out. Maybe it's what was left of his grandparents storaged items that the DD acquired. It would have made sense that they would be 'gone' 2019, from that era. Born around the 1920s, hope chest 1940s, purse looked 1960ish, pass in the 20-teens. (2019) And the grand son gets the storage unit. Money paided to store a bunch of junk for the most part. However,..there were some signs of the goods times. Mink stoles, 45 records (I'll take those), the hope chest was 40s looking, smalll hand gun if real, possible Rolex, gold chain, and pennies. I did want to see how those chairs looked when set up! 🥺

The first object (the long thin "rock) that you pulled out of the purple bag is a petrified rib bone, so not an antler lol. I'm into archeology and studied it years ago so I've seen them a lot. It's probably from a small deer or canine of some sort. If you look on the one end you can see it looks like it might be a big hollow. I'd take it to a science/archaeology department at a local University (the closest one I know of, I think, is Athens, UGA, but there could be another one closer than that, in maybe Maryland or DC) and get confirmation on that and if I'm right, see if you can get it dated. The others are just rocks, but take them with you too for confirmation as well because I could be wrong. It's a Stole, just like the other one is a cape. I think they're either mink or weasel lol. My parents had 10 acres on the top of a mountain. As we know mountains were once the Ocean floors. When they were digging their driveway thing uncovered shells and fossils. My brother took it to Syracuse University and they dated it to 250 million years old. I wish we could share pictures here I have it. There were tons of them, though.

The glass bottles and the spice tins would make a really cool display shelf in your kitchen Amber, just give it a little of that classic colonial kitchen look. Old glass bottles are actually becoming more valuable since so many companies have gone to plastic. My husband made glass bottles for 29 years then they closed the factory 3 years ago. That place had been in business since the early 40s, he called to tell me they got closing notices and I thought it was an April fools joke because that's what day they did it. Old medicine bottles made of glass are worth holding on to as well.

This is so relatable - Ed remembering Danielle but not recognizing you, Dan. Before my Dad passed away, we spent a beautiful day together. We visited a lot of places full of great memories and had a nice lunch together. It was a really good day. My Dad seemed very happy and "present" and was remembering everything very clearly. After taking him home, he told my stepmom, "I don't know who that lady was, but I had a good time." I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.😏

All those tooth brushes and paintbrushes could be used to clean off the "rocks", which are likely not "rocks" at all. Could be quartz, meteorites, fossils, ancient tools... The Tums could be used to clean them, I think. The "clear glass" lamp could also be crystal, which you can tell by the weight and the sound it makes when you lightly hit it with a spoon or something... which is more valuable usually than glass.

This unit belonged to an elderly person who went into a home and then died and their family did not continue paying for the storage unit full of all their old junk. I’m guessing that when the elder went into the care home, the family packed up their belongings and put them in storage after already taking anything of real value.

These videos, and the 'auction' TV shows, are often interesting in what they turn up. But they're also rather sad and depressing when you consider that they may contain someone's whole life, and there may be some personally tragic reasons for them coming up for sale - might be a death, might be loss of a home, might be loss of a job, might be they're serving a prison sentence (not judging, but seems likely in this case). Oh, I trust you also checked the lottery tickets in case they had won something that wasn't claimed yet?

Yeah. Every time I leave my home, I end up spending the entire day checking rocks. There are so many so since I always check every rock, I barely have time to even eat. There aren't anymore rocks on the surface within a 1 mile radius so as long as I don't leave town, I can function normally. A lot of neighbors are upset with me because of it. It's hard to get the ones on property line because people get upset so I have to be sneaky. Sometimes I wish I didn't always feel the need to check them.
