Regarding the rear wiper delete. In my opinion, it needs the wiper put back, my 2017 MK7 R (hatchback) is a pain in the arse for road dirt & spray getting flung up onto the rear of it, it gets dirty very quickly. It would drive me insane if it didn’t have the rear wiper. So, Calvin, fit the rear wiper back on mate 🤙🏻

Yes the mk 7.5 golf r estate has 2 back boxes and 4 real exhausts. The mk 7 had 2 tips into 4 fake exhausts. That’s one big reason I sold mine. I had one of the first r estates In uk. Loved every other part of it. Then I went to one of the first 7.5 hatches with aka exhaust. Best car I have ever bought. Ps amazingly I think VW actually listened to some feedback. R owners wanted all black interior and real exhaust. And they did both.

I have the 7.5 wagon in the same colour. Exhaust fully works, it was the mk7 estate that had 1 pipe per side working. They also don't have valves so noisy all the time.

My son has a red 7.5 R estate and both sides of exhaust are active but.....they don't have valves like the hatch. Lovely car in the Grey.

Love this, makes me appreciate my 7.5R with a pano-roof :D Also, an old MK7 (2013) GTI Perf. had keyless entry, top tier option.

My MK7R estate had fake tips attached to the bumper with one pipe on each side of the car blowing smoke through the outer fake tip on each side. It also had keyless entry, start button and a rear wiper :)

Great video Calv 👍🏼 I had two of these mk7.5 estates and loved them. Now got a C7 RS6 and honestly the golf gives 80-90% of the everyday thrills and is such a practical wagon. Will definitely consider another one if I get tired of the costs in running the RS6!

I have a rear wiper delete on my Fiesta ST. I think it is much cleaner, but in this winter it can be a nightmare haha, so I have split thoughts.

Res delete and a good air intake with cold air definitely makes a difference on a car like that !

The reason there are very few high spec Golf R's, Pano roofs etc. is probably because most of them were on 2 - 3 year leases, and nobody specs up a car your only keeping for 2 yrs. The only option I chose on mine was 90% rear tints which cost about £90 IIRC.

Car looks brilliant. I think the pre face-lift estates didn't have all 4 pipes connected and I believe the 7.5 cars had black mirrors as an option not standard. Lovely cars as always amazed how quick it is keep it up

I think the colour makes that car together with those grey Estoril alloys and Pan roof. Seen the R estate in White with standard wheels and it doesn't do it justice.

Calv mk7 estate has only one exhaust used each side. 7.5 estate uses both each side.

Youve literally reviewed my exact car!! Exact same colour and wheels, but mine has a few bits this one hasnt from factory. DG18 BYL, check that spec out 😉. Leather and adaptive dampers. Mines running 388bhp on a JB4 tune. 0-60 in 3.6. R600 plus a few other bits under the bonnet too

nice estate this , them tiny deference's! 👍 , wiper delete 🙀that surly isn't and option extra to have a wiper , i find it ages a car taking them off , just my opinion , , is their a reason the estate didn't get the sweeping lights , one year was a 310 bhp !

I think it was pre facelift cars that had only 1 pipe either side working. Don't think the estates had valved system either like the hatch could be wrong tho

I love the Hatch but this is even better in my opinion, more space and not much performance difference!

Jesus for that little extra length of car you get a hell of a lot more room. And the way it performs its not even a negative about the extra weight.
