I bought a Ms Pac-Man cocktail cabinet arcade machine from craigslist for $200 that the prior owner thought needed a new screen and was ready to scrap. Of course all it really needed was some TLC. Here's everything I did to it to get it working perfectly.

That's some very nice condition cocktail table. Not bad for being more than 40 years old. Definitely a keeper. That's a great score for $200.

Good find, nice job on bringing it back to life, idk why anyone would want to sell that cocktail cabinet, that was stupid bc it didn’t need that much work done to it……

That cabinet is a jewel, you gave it perfect maintenance apart from instructions, a complete guide to the board, it's great how the colors look with the arcade monitor, greetings from Argentina, good job! 🕹️👍

Never got to play a real cocktail table version. Always played Pac-Man and ms Pac-Man at the laundromat

I found a racing arcade game in the alley not too far from me, it’s missing the seat but that’s not a big deal, someone got rid of it I’m assuming, idk, I just found it, I’m going to try to get it working again

good job. I got my dead ohne for that price too. Bad electrical cord and dirty connectors. monitor probably needs a recap and a braze multi kit makes it so much better

That’s how much their worth now unless your crazy to pay $1000 for something that breaks over and over if your planning to play on it a lot get ready to pay for repairing it it will cost you repairs so you paid $200 but how much is it to change the plug or the monitor if it’s not fixable every time it breaks your paying a lot of money so this machine isn’t for to play on it’s meant to make money in stores the money it makes will take care of the fixing price depending how many people are willing to pay to play it when it’s available on all consoles and arcade 1 up is here

I'm just about ready to put it back. I wanted to start as "stock" as possible I guess. Eventually I stick the fast chip back in too.

What does degauzing the screen do?

Whenever you move a CRT, especially if it's on, you can develop color issues requiring you to degauss it to clear it up again. It has something to do with the interaction of the earth's magnetic field I think but don't know the physics. All TVs and arcade's have built in degaussing circuits that help a little each time you turn it on. So I could have just truned it off and on a few times but I had the degaussing wand and it looks cool.

@@stainjr I think my apple IIGS monitors have a button on the back for that and these arcade machines are cool but my family would throw a fit if i bought one home. So I do the next best thing which is run them ona sega genisis those have sound chips very simlar to the arcade up rights like this. It has the best home port of frogger ever.
