Sounds like we have similar tastes in music, Sammy Davis Jr, Frank, etc. I have been trying to compile a complete (or at least complete as possible) Jeri Southern collection. Singles , albums, live performances, television appearances, radio spots and promos, bonus tracks, basically everything I can find anywhere from any source. It has been a time consuming project and just when I think I'm near the end, I discover more of her music. After saving all the music on high quality files, I'm going to attempt to put it all on a music DVD with menus so I can access it all on one disc for convenience. Its been quite a job. Maybe I'll do Helen Merrill next. Love all the old torch singers!

a friend of mine sent me 3 or 4 boxes of cds over the last year and they were all 50s and 60s artists which i love. i loved opening the boxes and see what i had, there must have been well over a hundred in each box and even though some were repeats it was great fun to get these big heavy boxes in the mail as a surprise, it was very kind of him to send me these for free! hope you had fun opening your mystery box and even though a lot of them were not your style i am sure they will find a good home somewhere. congrats on reaching almost 15,000 subs! thanks for sharing this mystery box of cds and for only 30 dollars it was well worth it, take care

That was crazy. Somebody's older brother in 1996 dumped his cd's in a box and forgot about them. You never find a mystery box as on theme as this.

This is cool. Didn't know 2nd and Charles was a thing. Got a McKays in Chattanooga TN. Definitely on my list of places to check out. Closest 2nd and Charles to me is in Kennesaw GA

As a Metal guy i would have been stoked with that box! Lots of killer stuff but the crown jewel is actually that SOUTHGANG cd. Especiallly if original pressing it would fetch some good dollars!!

I enjoyed watching you unbox that haul. Some good stuff in there. I love going through racks of CD' in charity shops - amasing what you can find for little money. Seems less hassle than record digging ( which i also love, along with cassette digging). Keep up the interesting items, and good luck with the hifi replacements.

Last December I took a different bus home one night and had to walk a block further, so normally I wouldn't have found the box of CDs someone threw out that was where I usually don't pass by. Much of it was nostalgia type music like Perry Como, Tony Martin, various other old timers, some classical, some big band. If I'd found what you found in your box I would have left most of it in the street.

Keep the Erasure Pop 20 Hits one. I used to have it. British band from the 80s/90s. They're a duo. They use synthesisers as backing but the singing and melodies are great. At least give it a listen.

The Chieftains did an album with flutist James Galway which is pretty good, But I don't know if the CD in your box is that one.... BTW, who plays the version of "Maple Leaf Rag" at the beginning of this video?

Ooh nice. I saw a couple of things I recognized. If I didn’t already have the BEST part of Guns N Roses Use Your Illusion (part 1), I would’ve loved finding that in a mystery grab bag, same with AC/DC’s Back in Black and Aerosmith’s Toys in the Attic. I did recognize some Sixpence None The Richer (long story there). But otherwise it was a pretty meh looking grab bag. Your honesty shines through IMHO and I believe you deserve way more than 15k subs.

Hugely disappointing that there`s no Judi Collins,Elton John,or Status Quo..I guess you cannot have your cake and eat it...That box would have been heaven to our Andy,with all that Rock stuff..The Ones you kept were the ones i would have kept..Its kind of similar to us the other week getting those free 200 odd lp`s....I kept maybe 25 to 40.....The rest went to a friend and so on so forth....I wish Alice Cooper would make a Christian Rock Album...(May be he has?)....Or A duet with Elton John ???That would be ????????????? Great news on your channel mate...

A CD collection that only Frank from Channel 33 RPM could love (wouldn’t that be wild if he entered your contest???)!!! Years ago, it would have been 100 LPs for $30. Now you can’t get records for that price at thrift stores!!! Ah, the good old days!!! I’m actually surprised that it was mostly name artists. I expected it to be the opposite-artists that no one has ever heard of, which is why it’s so cheap. But get your CDs now, folks-the CD resurgence is coming, when you’ll never again get a bargain like this!!!

As a part-time reseller, it is tempting... however. 2nd & Charles looks this stuff up... they know what should be worth money. You could make your money back in a couple months lotting up the hard rock/ metal, but 70% isn't worth listing. Think about it, even the albums you may personally love... go to eBay, you will find albums in "good" condition (probably the condition here) and all can be found for 4-5 bucks FREE Shipping (so you get 2-3 dollars from each)... and you'd be one of many, competing with dozens of others selling the same. That's dead stock that takes space. ...which is why 2&C is doing this

Definitely agree about the reasoning for doing this but I think you could probably find buyers if you have the time and energy. By the way we are giving these CDs away, some of them anyway, standby for more on that

In a sense, some of these are okay 👌, such as Tom Petty, and the like 👍, but I really didn't like 👍 a lot of these at the same time. Dont subscribe to those record places. Their ploy is to lead ya to believing that you're getting each CD 💿 for a penny. Ya get the bill, and, voila!! Ya owe several hundred dollars 💵. Your friend, Jeff.
