I bought a record collection containing hard rock and 80s metal! This vinyl record collection is essentially Peacemaker's playlist! Peacemaker is played by John Cena in the HBO Max series based on the Suicide Squad character! I bought this record collection to generate some trades within the vinyl community. Some I will keep, some I will trade, and some I will sell!
Check out the Peacemaker series here: www.hbomax.com/series/urn:hbo...
Which gems from this vinyl record collection are your favorites?!
A few bands featured/shown:
Black Sabbath
RUSH
KISS
Led Zeppelin
Judas Priest
Motley Crue
Guns n Roses
AND MORE!

You hooked me with the Peacemaker connection. In the show context, it (almost) makes hair metal listenable. Glad to see a second season is coming. I am not sure about Uriah Heep but surely that Joe Perry Project album cover is the thing of nightmares. With an older brother who had an Alice Cooper/Black Sabbath phase when I was growing up or a high school friend who was Iron maiden obsessive there is some nostalgia seeing some of the covers. Good luck with your trades

Hard rock and metal lps are great trade leverage. Well done, Hanna! Thanks for showing us! April Wine released a 'Ballads' album, where "Just Between You And Me" leads off. That they could fill an album with ballads says something! Being Canadian, back in the late seventies, they'd play my town 3 times a year. They put on great live shows. Interesting the Sabbath lps had bad covers and clean records. They are later pressings, as the og's would have a green label. Cheers!

Holy smokes, Hanna! You made my morning. You've got quite a few gems in that haul. I'm the viewer who said to give 'Too Fast For Love' by Mötley Crüe a spin. And I'd definitely keep the Pat Benatar, Cheap Trick (even if you have other copies), GN'R, Montrose (with a young Sammy Hagar on vocals), Tesla (one of my favorites) and Van Halen. The Melissa Etheridge s/t album was a bit of an oddball (based on the rest of the collection), but it's really good. I'd keep that one, too! Hello Hanna; Lots of classic rock & metal. A big haul hopefully the price was right. Some the covers look ruff, as long as the vinyl is good. Eddie Clarke's Fastway was the guitarist from MotorHead. April Wine, Canadian rock band the greatest hits & live are worth having. Frank Marino Canadian guitar shredder. Orchestrated guitar work. Some very nice vinyl finds. The next haul should be additional record racks. HA! Enjoy the spins. Be Happy, healthy & stay warm. Your Friends, Tina & Pat!~

Hi, Hanna! In these hard times we live in, you made my day. For me, the 70's and 80's were one of the best eras of the history of music and Hard Rock/Metal. Lynyrd Skynyrd-Pronounced Lêh-Nérd Skin-Nérd (1973), AC/DC-High Voltage (American version, 1976), Van Halen-Van Halen (1978), Motley Crue-Too Fast For Love (1981), Ozzy Osbourne-Blizzard of Ozz (1980), Guns N' Roses-Appetite For Destruction (1987) were great debut albums. Triumph-Allied Forces (1981) is an album you need to hear before you die. I recommend! Fun fact: There was a singer here in Brazil called Vanusa (1947-2020) and in 1973 she released a song ''What to Do'' and in 1973/1974, Black Sabbath released the song ''Sabbath Bloody Sabbath'' and I don't know if there was any plagiarism 'cause both songs are similar. Listen to Vanusa-''What to Do'' and Black Sabbath-''Sabbath Bloody Sabbath'' and you'll see. Excellent video and Peacemaker, Beetlejuice and The Smiths approve! Rock on!

Wow Hanna, I've never seen that many Pat Travers records in one place! Same for Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush. It might be another 40 years until they enter my headspace again! And that Rush "threefer" proto-box Archives...it must be 35 years since I even thought about that set (though I still dig Rush), which I purchased on release. Many of these hard rock/metal albums were in personal heavy rotation during my late 70s high school years, and I still listen to several of these records today. Just about 10" of snow. At one period it was freezing rain and sleet. Then it stopped. So everyone started to snowblow, shovel and plow. Then the snow came back with a vengeance. I have approx half of the first box, less so on the second. A lot of great records. From my point of view, a lot of those records are easy to come by so i don't know how easy it is to trade or sell them further with the sleeves so tattered. Maybe it's different story over there. Good luck with whatever you decide to do. Pasi

Pasi, hello. I'd say at least 10-15 of this records are not that easily found around here. Maybe more. I won't have any trouble trading these since the vinyl condition is VG+ or better on many. That's the part that matters most after all! :-) Plus I got a good deal! Be positive! Take care.

Saw in a thread that you picked up John Foxx Era Ultravox albums & hope you can turn these metal records into more excellent music like that. Trade a Motley Crue for a Sonic Youth & swap Maiden for The Pixies .. Good luck ✌

Ooo, I can easily play Big Star #1 Record and Iron Maiden Killers back to back, really enjoy some hard rock. Hanoi Rocks were great, more straight glam rock and roll with strong new wave and punk influences. Check out their Back to mystery city LP. I know at least one Kiss tune you’d like, C’mon and love from 1975. It’s a fantastic power pop bubblegum tune! I love Lynyrd Skynyrd, vocalist Ronnie Van Zant was a great street poet IMHO. But many of these albums should be good for trades. 👍🏽 Love the Peacemaker clips. 😂👍🏽

Hi Hannah: Interesting haul, have quite a few of them. The "legend" of Klaatu: somehow, back in the 1970's when they started a rumour got around that the band was the Beatles reformed secretly. There were no credits on the albums indicating the personel and it actually persisted for some time. Their one "hit" was Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft which was a hit for the Carpenters. After about 3 albums, the "truth" came out that they were a group of session musicians from Toronto-they faded after that. Fastway was comprised of "Fast" Eddie Clark-former guitarist with Motorhead-and Pete Way-former bass player with UFO (I think)

I left rock behind in the 80s for new wave, power pop and UK synth bands. I don't recommend Triumph (apart from the guitarist). They have more in common with Spinal Tap than anyone else. :-) April Wine has some solid rock tunes (You Could Have Been a Lady, Bad Side of the Moon among them). Gonna throw on some Bad Company today. Always liked them.

Also have to recommend 2 of their other albums, Sir Army Suit and Magentalane. Some of their songs are so happy they should be illegal, but I love them. Sometimes I hear a little Jellyfish or Beatles in their songs. Yes, the Kinks album you found is a keeper. I'm sorry that your ex-husband ruined your Pink Floyd listening experience. It would probably require years of therapy to hear them "as if for the first time", and who's got the time or money for that? Immediately noted Phantasmagoria behind you. What a great "damned" album!

Those Tesla albums are classics. I hate that they were lumped in with the hair bands because they were more blues base and really didn't get their do. Powerslave by Iron Maiden is also epic.
