Still running it in just wanted a feel for the dirt and the uprated suspension got the first service booked in a couple of weeks

@@onanyshitesunday well we had to wait 2 years for the regular tenere 700..2021 models were the fist available in the USA..I managed to get a 2022 model.. still waiting for it to show up at my local dealership..so as soon as the world raid is available be sure I will be getting one!!!!

I’ve had shaft drive and tubeless wheels and gone from a zzz 1400 to a 1000cc africa twin down to the t700, I think this is my favorite bike so far. Great fun to ride the engine and suspension are the best bit about it.

@@onanyshitesunday yes I test rode a 2021 model last year and I can see what you mean.plenty of power there packs a lovely punch.

Tubeless wheels as an optional extra …. Surely Yamaha could put that into the equation .

Great set of lads I’ve gone to them for my last two bikes. Great customer service and they do what they say they’re going to do. Highly recommend them.

The bike is fantastic mate and the suspension is better than the original. For this version they upgraded to k tech suspension.

This is my second bike from the lads at Wigan Yamaha and I’d definitely go back to them again. As far as the upgrades go the suspension can hop a bit over the small bumps but is definitely better, the larger tank is a bonus for long distance but the twin fillers can be a bit of a faff, steering damper is a nice addition and the Tft screen is not over the top which I like, when I ride I want to leave the I pad at home not take it with me.Altogether I’m glad I went for the world raid but all versions of the tenere are good, the engine is the star of the show, it’s so playful and makes you smile. The dealership was Wigan Yamaha over in Lancashire … the bike is awesome pity they won’t have them in the US.

I’m six foot three and the bike is perfect for me ..so far I’ve found the bike to be great and would be more than happy to do long journeys on it, also I don’t find the seat a problem it seems fine.

The engine is the star of the show .. loads of torque and plenty of engine braking. Yes it’s not blisteringly fast but it’s still plenty quick enough for me especially as I’m getting on in years.

I found the suspension a little stiff at first and it did hop a bit like you say but after riding it more I’m more in tune with it and think it’s one of the bikes best upgrades.

Tbf new bikes need to bed in ... suspension as well as motor... and standard settings very rarely suit everyone, a trip to a suspension specialist would sort it for you, if you're not ok doing it yourself ..

@@StuHNomadBiker I’ve spent more time on the bike now and I don’t think I’d change anything. The bike could have been made to measure for me and it’s probably the best bike I’ve ever ridden.

@@onanyshitesunday im 193cm (6’4 and 80kg , planning on long trip so probably 15 kg of gear or more. Think it will be good off-road and on road ? My alternative is the Ktm 500 exc because I just love the braap

Hi .. it’s a viper RX-V288.. it was £99.99 from my local bike shop and then I added a dark visor from eBay. I think the visor was around the £20 mark.

The fuel tank isn’t much wider than the original because it’s split in two and goes down either side. The two filler caps look great but it is a bit of a pain opening both to fill up.

Mine was £11,200 in the Uk to buy new but I did a deal trading an africa twin. I think it’s about £1500 over the price of a standard T700 but the suspension and the other bits are probably worth it. Good luck getting one.
