Your finds remind me so much of what we found in my great uncle's storage unit. He did watch repairs in the 1960s/70s. Congratulations! I know that you are going to enjoy going through everything.

I was going to mention this because that box and parts are pretty radioactive from the years of storing radium dials.

@@SoloPedal I doubt the surrounding wood and parts are emitting strong radiation- even the paint itself is not highly radioactive. The danger comes from inhaling or ingesting the paint. Working outside with good ventilation, it would be prudent to separate any parts containing radium paint, then clean everything well after putting contaminated hands/dials into well sealed containers.

Hey im sure you will do ok. I don't know the value of these trench watches but some can be pricey. I think the first gold coloured watch (almost pocket watch looking dial) needs checking bit more, could be gold case, stainless back? Really unusual defo worth checking that mate, maybe converted from pocket watch to wristwatch, crown seemed large which suggests maybe. Interesting none the less. Case may have gold marking, but it had the right colour to be real or maybe just gf. also i think at 6mins 35mins there was poss gold seal fob (bottom left screen) - did that have a marking??. Looked like something that maybe went on a pocket watch chain??? Shame there wasn't more pocket watches ie complete. i would flog the best stuff to get your money, keep a few bits and sell it on.

Unfortunately checked all the cases, chains, bands none of them are gold just gold filled. Pulled all the best stuff out and selling the rest. Already sold $200 on Facebook. Almost 4 pounds of gold filled/plated Watch band tops. Stuck those on eBay and within minutes had my starting bid of $349.95. I should be able to make $1000 profit on the just I don’t want. And have over $1000 in value of stuff I want to keep.
