I bought this Sony PS Mini from off eBay for £29.99. It's not been tested! So I'm going to assume it's got not power and doesn't turn on.... Let's find out.

You could have just put the flux on the chip, held it with your tweezers and plugged it in and it would have just come off by itself.

We all still have that glimmer of hope that it’ll work out of the box when listed as “untested,” but deep down, we know it won’t! 🤦‍♂️🤣

The untested lie reminds me of going into a Pawn America once. They warranty all electronics for x amount of time. BUT there was one corner where they had a shelf of miscellaneous electronics that had a sign that said "All work but sold as is." Yeah, sure they do.

Nice fix Mate... I live in Jacksonville Florida which is where Lynyrd Skynyrd hails from and I am good friends with Darlene, Johnny and Donnie Van Zant ( Ronnies siblings) and they would be proud to here you singing "That Smell " Well done mate... excellent sleuthing work and repair. Kudos

"HDMI cables are like Hen's teeth" - they're almost as rare as the 50 SKART cables I've been lugging around for the last ten years "just in case".

What a fun idea for a channel! So interesting to see him take on such problems and just have to troubleshoot it on his own with no guidance or instructions. Very fun and clever. I love how he said “come on!” and “get in” when fixing a device in the same way my British friends say that when watching football (soccer).
