Several of you have suggested hip waders in the past so I finally picked some up! Honestly I didn't do any research, I just randomly stumbled upon these while browsing Amazon. For $30, I figured why not give them a shot. Overall, they seem pretty good!
Check Them Out Here: amzn.to/2XjYZa1
Fun little trip! I proved that the Frogg Toggs Rana II hip waders work well and I was fortunately able to catch a few bonus Brown Trout. The fish I caught were absolutely gorgeous. Gotta love trout fishing with spinners! Hope you enjoyed it :)
Check out the rod/reel I used here: • The BEST Spinning Rod ...
Shoutout to my buddy Michael for sending the black/gold single blade spinner. Big fan!

Ethan do a KZfaq search on how to repair neoprene waders. Seems like a really easy fix. This way I can continue to see your commitment to fishing and my viewing enjoyment. Your dedication to the outdoors and educating us about fishing Is much appreciated.

Hey man I work for a drysuit company and the easiest and best thing for you to fix that leak would be aquaseal. The stuff works amazing and will last years. Easier than patching in my opinion and works great on neoprene too.

I have the same waders and used them all season last year. They are pretty good. I thought that would be enough but now I'm looking at wader pants, not a chesty but the ones that come up to my waist. I think they will be perfect... until they aren't. Enjoying your channel tremendously!

Frogg Toggs is my rain gear of choice. I have a pair of Orvis Lightweight boot waiders that have been real troopers. Never had a comfortable set of sock foot waiders so I go boot foot or waiderless and sneakers. I have narrow feet and long chicken legs. (6'2" 170 lbs). A bit of Loon UV cement keeps up with the few pokes.

I dont like chest waders because it cuts off access to your pants pockets and zipper for whizzing. Also it's nice to take your sweater/jacket off and on easily or even go shirtless on warm days .straps over the shoulders are just constricting..... Nice review man.

Those are a really good pair for the money. Frogg Toggs make an excellent product. Those are the low end of their scale. Next pair you get make sure they have felt soles and steel shank. You'll be glad u did. Pair like that from Frogg Toggs will run u around $80 but are worth it. Good luck

I have insulated chest waders for winter and non insulated for warmer months. I will not use hip waders for one reason.... Go too deep, slip and go down, whatever the case, once you swamp one you're now wearing a boat anchor. Even in the small creek I fish a lot, there's a few 3-4ft holes so it wouldn't take much to get swamped. Nice video, I'm kinda jealous of those trout, I haven't been able to go to my trout river for over a month!
@FishAnything
@FishAnything 3 жыл бұрын
Yeah I definitely think full size chest waders are more ideal but I like these because they are quick and give me access to a few extra spots that the muck boots don’t. Someday I’ll probably get a nice pair of chest waders and swap these out.

@@FishAnything I bought a pair of Proline from basspro for around $100, they're insulated. I like the neoprene over rubber too, I go through thorns and scrub brush and they still don't leak.

I fine a siwash hook is better then a treble. Better hook up ratio, less personal danger, less chance to mortally wound a fish you don’t intend to harvest.
