I think you should decorate the shelves behind you with mini items and make it look like a massive tiny dollhouse. You could even wallpaper the walls, etc.

Oh Hope. That is so kind of you to donate this to a worthy cause. You get to have fun playing with/setting it up and then pass it on for others to enjoy. I love it. I got my 3 girls a gorgeous, big dollhouse to set up and enjoy and they never play with it. It makes me so sad because I would have been OVERJOYED as a kid to have one to play with. I've decided to make it a haunted house and set it up myself to display during Halloween. Excited to check out the links you shared to find some awesome accessories for it! As a miniature lover, i was wondering if you've ever heard of or been to Miniature World in Victoria, Canada? My grandparents took me there like 30 years ago when I was 7 and it was the most magical experience. It is still operating if you ever get a chance to check it out! Xoxo

My grandmother passed away this past July. It was very difficult for me as we were very close. Anyways, she actually loved miniatures. She built her own miniature dollhouses from scratch and loved going on the hunt at flea markets to find the perfect additions (this was before these were so easy to find). Our newspaper even did a piece on her and her collection. No idea what will happen to it now. Seeing the joy all these miniatures bring you reminds me so much of how happy it made my avó that it brought me to tears. I'm sure she would be so happy to see how much pleasure it brings you and she would be so impressed with all the treasure you managed to find. Thank you for unknowingly keeping her memory alive for me ❤

She's so generous. I mean, all the mini things would have to be removed before the kids could play with the doll house, so it won't be as fun to play with. Although, if a kid is going to chock on a mini-item, a hospital is the best place to do it. 🤣

When I was a child I made doll house furniture out of balsa wood. I actually made a mini journal/book. I used garage sale beaded necklaces to make candle sticks and Victorian style lamps. It was so fun seeing all of the mini working items you found. Brought back memories!

I love how HopeScope said that the person she got the dollhouse from thought it was for a child. I am in my early teens, and I got a dollhouse for my birthday last year. I just find it a relaxing way to play with them after a rough day and express my feeling and the things I want to do through them. Like i use the dolls to say stuff i want to say to the teacher or my friends. Also nice video Hope.

My dad built me a 4 story dollhouse out of a old cabinet when I was little, to scale for barbies with custume furniture and functioning lights I loved that thing for YEARS... (he is a carpender/artist). this brings back so many memmories.

HOPE!! you should look into the japanese brand called re-ment. they specialise in making miniature things! i was obsessed with them when i was younger because they were soo cute and really detailed, i think they would be perfect for the dollhouse

This is so awesome! It's always been my dream to have a fully functioning tiny doll house lol I love watching tiny cooking channels and I'm super obsessed w/ real tiny homes, like the ones you can live in. I'm currently renovating a school bus into a Skoolie Tiny Home to travel the country in; but I'd love to make a fully functioning mini Skoolie to have in my real Skoolie

American Girl used to sell modular mini houses like this. I miss them, they were so cool. You could change the wallpaper cause it was magnetic, and they had all these mini accessories that really worked.

My Grandma and Nana had dollhouses, I loved them. My siblings and cousins and I would spend summer days together for hours playing with my Nanas in her "special room," we couldn't really play with my Grandmas. I think because she went blind and wanted it how she remembered it. So awesome!! I have a me daughter and 2 love daughters who would love this!! Happy Holidays Hope!
