I will be curious to see how it holds up and if you still like the reel as time passes. The general consensus (myself included) is that Abu reels are not workhorses like PENN nor do they have the finesse of a Shimano or Daiwa. Nobody I know is out there buying a Zata for $200 as opposed to a Shimano Stradic, Penn Clash, or Daiwa Ballistic, Procyon, or Tatula. Miravel size 500 or 1000 is incredible trout reel. Abu just can’t compete in terms of gears, drag, and sealing.

Yeah I am definitely curious as well. So far its performing really well, but I will certainly keep everyone updated on any issues or such with it. I love my Miravel to death. It's amazing and, if the insane wind and thunderstorms would stop, I'd be showing them some more action haha.

I got a 1000 Okuma Ceymar OTD . It's the same color. A limited edition. It's a great ultralight reel with nice drag. It's probably a third of the price. I'd deal with Okuma any day.

@davidarwood6264 I love my Okuma reel and just recently picked up my first "trout rod" from them. Definitely liking my first impressions with them!
