I love that R+co paste, it's so good, you need enough and to rub till it's really warmed up in your fingers, but its so much nicer than spray dry shampoos - it doesn't leave a residue in the way batiste or similar do!

the WOW product that you showed us first stated that it removes build up etc. i had a feeling it would lighten your hair….

I guarantee it was the salt wash. It’s so drying and stripping. Salt just isn’t meant for hair

yup. go to 3.48mins. that wow product lifts mineral deposits to brighten hair. i doubt a scalp scrub would lighten your hair, i use one regularly and never seen that happen to me. revisit the first WOW product. re-read what you read to us… sounds like t-cut for car paintwork. removes mineral build up and pollutants to reveal a brighter shade underneath. i think it t-cut your hair! 😂

I used a sugar-based scalp scrub once and it was TERRIBLE! All it did was clump up my hair and took about 4-5 extensive rinses and two shampoos to get out of my hair…and I wasn’t convinced that it fully rinsed out. Plus the thought of those sugar crystals scratching up my scalp is not appealing…and yet I tried it anyway. Oh well. You live and you learn. Thanks for sharing your opinions on the products!! I always enjoy your videos!!

Ok, so my stylist uses the R+Co dry shampoo paste right before drying my hair and it gives great volume and allows me to go a couple of days without washing my hair. I have SUPER OILY hair, so I love it. I normally get extra greasy after about 24 hours.

I really love scalp scrubs! Tried one from Christophe Robin and fell in love lol. You really gotta lather it up in your hands before applying to hair though. And yeah, they're a mess, which isn't really a bother in the shower 😂

I have buying the same rose water brand product for years, but without the cider vinegar. It is so expensive at Whole Foods. I would be excited to find it for $7.00 anywhere. ( your short cut is SO adorable, btw)!!!

I use the colour wow dreamcoat every 2-3washes! Love it! My hair is not that frissy anymore!!! The best for frissy or bleached hair!!!

Stella I noticed once you used the Goop product then washed it with the shampoo in the pretty bottle your hair became lighter. The Goop stripped the colour 💋❤️

Love that you're showing that there's a lot of versatility in short hair, especially when it comes to colouring and maintenance. Also loving the new colour, you would never know you bleached it twice!

I use the Heritage Store Rosewater spray and love it. I keep it in my fridge to keep it cool,then spray it on my face and hair throughout the day. Great for the skin and hair. :)

I use the Briogeo Scalp Revival Charcoal + Coconut Oil Micro-exfoliating Scalp Scrub Shampoo and I love it. I use it after I shampoo my hair with a regular shampoo and only once a week. Give it a try! Also, I love your new hair!

Would be interested in a review of SOLID shampoo and conditioner reviews for colored hair. A lot of hair care for color treatment is liquid, but I have been using solid shampoos for years now and want to know how color treated hair holds up. Would be interested to see this!!

I use a mineral remover called Malibu C. Unless you use it right before the color service, I’ve found that it’ll take my hair color right off if you use it after coloring. Apparently hair color will sit on mineral buildup in your hair, so when you remove the minerals, if they are under the hair color, that comes off too.

The dry shampoo paste works amazingly well, you have on concentrate on the scalp and roots.

So I have a scalp scrub by Pacifica and I got it because my hair dresser recommended it to help my hair because I am training it to not be so greasy. You do need a hair oil after because it does dry the hair out. BUT it’s a scalp stub so sectioning and then rubbing it in with fingers or a scalp massaging brush. It gives great volume and my scalp feels so good.

There’s a scalp scrub similar by Bondi Boost! Personally I LOVE it and works well for my hair and my head. Better than actual shampoo! 💙

The ‘Mother’ in vinegar consists of strands of proteins, enzymes, and friendly bacteria that give the organic vinegar its murky appearance. The ‘Mother’ is used for its natural cleansing qualities...great for hair because it won't strip the hair. It also helps strengthen and improve luster by lowering hair and scalp pH. The scent is full on vinegar at first but that goes away fairly quickly and works great.

Apple cider vinegar is amazing for hair. I dilute some with some warm water, leave it on for a few minutes between my shampoo and hair mask and it really clarifies my hair and gives me big curl clumps

In theory hair scrubs are scalp scrubs, just as we use any kind of exfoliators to get rid of dead cells in our face and body this is supposed to do the same but in our scalp. Depending on who you ask people will say it is not good for your skin and others will say it is really beneficial, i've heard you can even add himalayan salt to your shampoo to scrub your scalp 🤷🏻‍♀️

Dear Stella, I am really surprised that you never heard of salt scrub shampoos??? The one from Christophe Robin, renowned hair colorist, is a cult shelf item!!! I saw it featured SO many times in print and web articles... it does wonders, but it is not meant to be an everyday shampoo. It's pricey, but using it once/twice a month is enough.

There is a brand named NALA that has a famous shampoo which contains Himalayan salt. it's like half salt and half shampoo. You're supposed to mix it before using. It comes in a jar. I used it for years. Love it.

I have not been impressed with the Color Wow products I’ve tried. Nature Lab products are bomb, especially their smooth cream. I’ve tried the Augustus Bader moisturizer that’s completely over priced and not worth it. I was not impressed. It stunk, and just sat on top of my skin, it didn’t absorb at all. After several hours, I finally just washed my face and started over with a different moisturizer.

I am really surprised that you as a hairdresser never heard about Color Wow or a hair scrub. Especially cause Color Wow is a brand invented by Chris Appleton- Kim Kardashian and many other celebs hairstylist. And hair scrubs are now literally everywhere. First color wow product gave you lighter colour.

You did yourself such a disservice by trying to use the G-Tox Scrub in studio instead of i the shower. It’s the only cleansing shampoo and scrub that doesn’t leave my hair feeling stripped and squeaky clean, poofy and static-y, instead it leaves it feeling clean but nourished and a little textured instead of pin straight. It’s like a more cleansing version of R+Co’s Analog - both leave my hair looking good on shampoo day, a rare feat.

I feel like this video would've been better if you had tested each product in isolation (as in, spread the shoot out over a couple days) rather than all in a row because the way you did it here, it was basically impossible for you to really tell which product did what.
