Should have tried harder to get the app to work. I wouldn't trust the app to say that a pin update was successful when the scooter shut off while it was happening. If you tried to do a 2nd attempt at resetting the PIN and it didn't work again, I would try it one more time but would uninstall and reinstall the app. The review doesn't seem fair to judge it against a gimped performance.

What you saw was the end of several hours of troubleshooting. It didn't work. I have never had a scooter not connect to my phone. The Apollo app/Bluetooth not working is pretty common and no other videos talk about it. Anyways, the app wouldn't have fixed the terrible brakes, cheap plastic, rough ride or dim headlight on this quite expensive scooter. I just call it like I see it. No emotional investment here. You can watch literally any other scooter channel if you want to see Apollo or whoever else get their toes sucked. Thanks for watching!

It was very disappointing. I wanted to like the scooter so much but having your settings tied to a Bluetooth connection is pretty small brained. I think it's probably safer this way though. This thing felt sketchy at 15 mph. Who knows if I would have even survived driving 30 plus miles per hour with cruise control and zero start.

I have the Apollo City Pro 2023 and it is an absolute gem of a scooter. I set the scooter up once with the app and the settings stuck. I occasionally use the app for navigation and to check specs and have no issues with connectivity. The scooter is an absolute tank. Very solid and well made. The newest firmware upgrade has upped the top speed to 55km/h (34.3 mph) and ive had it as high as 56 kmh on a downhill. The folded clip holds in place perfectly with no concerns of it coming unclipped or banging into anything. This scooter has exceeded all expectations in every way, and i couldnt be happier with my purchase. Also, i bought the 2023 version brand new in 2024 at a discount, so even happier. The regen brake is also so good, i barely ever use the drum brakes, which along with the premium lighting, amazing suspension and self healing tyres, is also very solid, well made and confidence inspiring. This review is so far off the mark its not funny. Theres a reason these scooters have such amazing reviews everywhere else except this channel, and its not a conspiracy, this scooter really is that good. Can highly recommend to anyone who wants a well-made scooter that can go pretty much anywhere. Best scooter ive ever owned (ive had 7 Escooters now). Totally worth it.

I own the City, the app works fine. Rarely use the drum brakes because of the excellent regen braking, so for the 3 years I will own the City, will never need to change them as they last 4 to 5 times longer than disk pads, also thin metal disks can warp. There are so many reviews singing the City's praises it seems like your either a disgruntled customer or associated with another brand of scooter. I will be buying the dual motor City soon, then I will have two to share.

This is a pretty braindead comment, all things considered. The app not working right is an established problem that not everybody has. But I did. Regen braking is not a replacement for regular brakes. Drum brakes lasting longer is not a selling point when your primary concern is performance. There's a reason why every single car and motorcycle on the road has disk brakes. As for me being a disgruntled customer, I'm not disgruntled. In fact, you can see one of the Apollo employees in the comments taking my criticisms into account. I'm so not disgruntled that I made a special video just for him telling Apollo how they can make their products better. The fact is, I'm not here to validate your purchase and I'm not here to stroke the scooter companies hoping that they give me a pre-production sample on their next model. I bought this scooter with my own money and I'm one of the few KZfaqrs that aren't on the take. If you can't imagine a world where the reviewer gets paid or gets incentives for giving a good review, then I'm here to tell you that I have some beachfront property in Arizona to sell you. @@Matt_Dylan My family just laughed about me being called Brain dead, but they are at an advantage, they actually know me. Seems I hit a nerve and that you run on emotion by insulting me. I use logic and sometimes intuition which can sound blunt. I just don't like seeing people being steered clear of a very good quality purchase and end up buying crap because of you. Yes no product is perfect and Apollo will admit there is always improvement. I didn't call you names, Fuck wit. Shall I subscribe now, lol.

1 bikes can be adjusted once app is unlocked. At a 7/10 breaks are awesome. App has known issues but its probably a phone issue. Ive had 3 apollo scooters with no issues

I think it would be a bit more compelling at $1100 or $1,200. But for safety, I think the scooter is too fast and too heavy with brakes that are too poor performing.
