Drove the hell outta my '97 XJ with 4" lift, weird coil overs, A/T's (~104,000mi on the odo) on dozens of long-haul mountain off-road trips over 4 years in Chile, Argentina, Bolivia and Peru. That old buggy never let me down.

I just picked up a 2001 xj with 190k mi for 3500 and I can't wait to take it out. These are definitely super affordable if you live in the right area.

My 33in BFGs rubbed on the lower control arms. Just had to add a few washers to the steer stops. All good.

I got a magnaflow muffler and air aid intake, changed power big time. Gotta do both though, muffler alone will cause awful drone noise in cab

Really like my 98 XJ that's built. Then again, my fav is my 79 f150 straight 6 4x4 manual. Like both though.
