Күн бұрынI got tired of fishing off the docks and catching 3 inch striper so i went to walmart and got me a new cheap kayak, i got the cheapest fishing kayak they had and that was the lifetime tamarack angler 100 kayak, in this video i am buying the kayak and taking it to the beach and testing it out at lake havasu arizona, how did the kayak perform? is it stable? can you stand on it, how much does the kayak cost? i answer all those questions in the video and also catch a new personal best on the kayak, putting the kayak in the water and testing it is at the 10 minute mark

Hey Adam, I'm from Australia, I have a little kayak experience, but this video addresses new starters in the most direct and natural way, which I like. You show them what's a fair deal and a boat that'll do the job adequately and at a fair price. I just bought a similar boat $299 reduced,10'x32" (built like a mini Hobie) to kart in my small van. I added two 16 inch x90mm (3"3/4inch) PVC pipes glued to the hull channels for added extra stability (which was already good) and straight tracking, as the water just flows straight through the tubes, but provides lateral tipping resistance and keeps the bow on line, which it struggled to do before in a following sea. Since I'm only around 75kg, I can stand in the boat easily now, not that I fish that way, but the difference is very much obvious and the tracking is gun barrel. These 10 footers are big enough for a medium guy and easy to move about, prefer it over my 13'foot plus boat. Cheers mate, loved the video.

I just saw a TV program that was talking about the bridge. That is the original London Bridge. A rich guy bought it and had it dismantled, brought to America and rebuilt with the original pieces!

Nice video.. I have a version of that Lifetime kayak and like it. Get a 'stadium seat' so you can sit up off the floor. It helps... There are videos that show how to set it up. I like your praise of the kayak - being on one. I've owned several types of boats, flats boat to fishing barge pontoon, canoe too. Kayak fishing is unique.👍I believe kayaks are easier to maneuver than a canoe. Kayak puts the smile on me.. Good times!

Just picked two up on sale for $300 each. Doing the seat mod for $20 for a stadium seat. Had the same kayaks in the past and sold them. Now we own them again.

I have a Lifetime Stealth 11’ kayak and I bought a stadium seat from Walmart and then I bought 2 pieces of 1 1/2”x1/8 flat bar stock from Home Depot. Mounted the seat to the bar stock and then to the kayak with self tapping screws. It raises seat up out of the water and a lot more comfortable than the stock seat. Two weeks later I purchased a Ascend 128x kayak and I’m fully modifying it with a trolling motor in the rear. And I also have a Lowe 14/36 JonBoat. But I don’t need a deck to catch catfish with. That’s what the kayak is for. To catch ditch pickles for catfish bait and dinner. Catch them cut them up and cook them and eat them. Best fish sandwich ever

I want one so bad. Ive never even been on one now I'm visiting all four Walmarts in my tri city area and taking pics of what they got and watching all the you tubes on em all. I feel like I'll own one in a day or so and your video has pushed me ever close to that edge lol

Just do it and watch vids. Took my second trip today. Awesome. Most importantly is the life vest. Large openings for arms and high back so when you paddle, arms won’t rub on vest and sitting on it with your back. Dicks sporting goods. Onyx. $70

Heck ya, my wife’s tamarack runs circles around my Bonafide SS127. The inflatable PFD isn’t legal for kayaking in some states like Texas, great video!!

I have the lifetime angler from tractor supply it’s the dark army green I really like it but like you said it’s not for standing lol but 300 I can’t complain about anything on it

Yeah I was really impressed, Walmart has come a long way with there kayaks, I’m sure the plastic is really thin but no real way of telling that until I rub a whole in the bottom lol, but I plan to add the sliding resin on it so that should make it tough

@@AdamRyanA hv inflatable SH but Just bought my 1st Real kayak, lifetime 2021 tcma from TS (sale for about $300) didn’t wanna over spend as I’m getting into this slowly as an independent hobby; happy so far but like to know more about extra keel/hull slick/protection u spoke of (also I’m 5’10 140 & can stand in it fine; monkey butt tho so need to add cord for stand/sit assist And Def some scupper plugs in seat area🤣🤦♀️)

U can make stabilizers for the yak then have no problem standing I raised the seat on my yak made it unstable put stabilizers on it no problem now

When I would transport mine and be away for a while, I would get a bicycle lock . Not 100% secure, but it was another added deterrent.

On your chatter trailers try a straight tail or flat sided trailer because the boot tail impeded the action of the chatter bait. I prefer the zako by gary yamamoto. Just a thought....

I had that same kayak it did great but the bottom will wear down quick with dragging it. Had to plastic weld it around a year after getting it and fishing hard.
