I had 2008 model 760Li, looked exactly the same as yours. It had so many problems and the BMW dealer was not knowledgeable enough to fix it. I loved the car but could stand the repair bills. Ended up in selling it to “we buy cars” for $5000 dollars in 2020.

I had an 08 750i and an 08 760li, I didn't have any problems with either of them outside of the ordinary for any car with over 150k miles at the time. The biggest problem I see is people just get in their car and drive and don't even think about maintenance until something goes wrong. There is a complete service interval checklist in the manual, follow that and a lot of problems people have wouldn't exist. Not doi g so can cause other problems. It's an expensive, over engineered marvel. You MUST take care of it. But yes, there are issues that do ceop up, as with ANY car. People buy a used $120k when new car and then can't afford the assiciated maintenance and they fall apart. That will happen with any car but a Toyota if treated the same.

I’d swap the steering wheel, spedo and idrive with the 3 or 5 series, this one looks like more of a chauffeur car..

to me you just like complaining i would be so grateful to have one of these most of what i can see from what you have shown us is quite fixable for someone who wants to restore if one has access to hoist those oil leaks are more labor intensive than actual parts cost i have owned and worked on BMW's from 1983[E12 both q 1973 & 74 model] to my latest [2006 E60 4.8Litre V8] 550i which i am not sure you even got in the USA as i cannot buy parts for most of it in your BMW shops the most i have got out of any of them was 440,000kilometers i had my own engine building shop and rebuilt this engine to get that sort of kilometers out of it the 550i i have now has 249,000 kilometers on it and has a problem that has kept i toff the road for a few months as i cannot afford the $900 to fix it at the moment although i still would not sell it as i love driving it
