Maybe careful with the revs on a cold engine? When you were doing 7k rpm, the temp on the right was still showing cold af.

Yup, most engine wear occurs on startup. When the oil is still cold the anti-wear additives (molybdenum, boron, zddp etc.) have not reached activation temp. However, I don’t think Nico has mechanical sympathy.

Not true at all what you are saying. I had a 991.1 gt3 and had the exact same issue. There was a world wide engine recall on this generation gt3 and unfortunately my recall wasn’t done. I had found out only after I had bought it. Luckily the dealer who I had bought the car from took it back and I had taken another car from them.

I think this is the one that he abused the shit out of, on the steep-banked track that Armstrong took them to….. That just made me puke….. What a no-class shit show……beating the shit out of a gorgeous Porsche just because you can. I’ll bet Leno can buy and sell his ass……and wouldn’t even THINK of acting like this moron. And it was topped off with some donkey that ran around the track for losing a bet !

Yellow is a difficult color, however, in some ways, it's almost opposite to your SF 812. I think some black HRE 520's Black center polished lip, or S201H's. Or go ADV-1 Anything black or graphite metallic with a polished lip would make the car pop more. The all-black wheels are boring. I would also suggest adding the Carbon Mirror wings. Yellow though is a great color, just needs a little love to make it pop more and accentuate the car.

Yr 991 with the replacement G6 motor will be identical in acceleration to yr new 992 but with more rawness drama that the 3.8 has

There's far worse out there. About a year ago on BaT there's what's since been dubbed the "Spiderman" GT3 - Voodoo blue with a BRIGHT red interior. This is tame by comparison. Either way, if you were to park any of them in my garage and hand me the keys, I wouldn't complain the least.

no point in discussing colours, you either like it or you don't, especially on cars with all sorts of different angles. I'd never pick yellow, but think it looks fantastic on the 992, but only the GT stuff... if you end up not loving it, go have it wrapped however you like and give it some of your personality. Plus you get a video (or seven like on this trip...)

No such thing as an ugly Porsche , just some colors & specs look better than others. But that color in person act looks really good in person & is cool. You'll really enjoy that platform & model/spec gt3 , one of the most fun cars I've driven in a while!
