As you know I do love a hot hatch, and the one I've always been curious about is the 130i. It gets forgotten about these days but it's essentially a predecessor to the M140i. It only made sense to find one for the channel, but not a clean one ofcourse lol

Bought one of these new in 2007, it was a bloody awesome car, a rare machine to see on the roads. Exact same spec with the rear M Sport spoiler and Xenons. I’d have another one in a heartbeat.

I've got a 130i LE. Absolutely adore it. I've had an M4, 435i, and an M135i in the past, and for some reason, this 130 is my favourite. It's so characterful. Wonderful little thing - I'll keep it until it dies.

I’ve had 5 of these now, current one for 4yrs, they are great cars , just taken 15yrs for people to realise, look forward to seeing what you do with it. LSD transforms it and can recommend the Meister R coilovers. If you upgrade the 335i brakes they will fit straight in the 130i

@@TRHamza well 2 of them were new ones back in 2007 when I had money and could afford new cars, the other 2 were cheap bangers like yours that I bought for upgraded parts they had on them like the quaife, 6 pot brakes etc which I fitted to my keeper , which also was a cheapey as it was a an SE, the one that looks like a 116d but has 3.0 engine in it. But in all honesty I have held in to it as I cant afford an M car now they have all gone silly money. If you have any questions try babybmw or the Facebook group 130i owners which is full eyebrow wry knowledgable people, loads of guys using them for track cars or fast road cars, full of maturer people who tend to own these now, you know the old fogeys who love 6 cylinder NA and a manual box and hate pop pop bang bang maps. Thas the thing with the 130i, there now loads o do to the engine as it’s in a sweet spot, a few supercharged ones Though. Anyway good choice, always enjoy your vids as normal presenting style, and I love seeing bargain basement cars transformed plus the car knowledges is a lot better than most channels 👍

N52 is a true gem. One of the best performing and most reliable non-M engines BMW made prior to going turbo. You can actually get the coupe version of this also (E82 125i) it is just a detuned version, a simple remap and you have a coupe, manual, 3L, RWD with 270-280bhp. Will be interesting to see what you do with this.

Same here. On my second 330i which is my daily. Show up faster hot hatches on a regular basis. Upgraded front arms to e90 m3 ones with wheel alignment to match. Corners way better now

That is a bit of a shed; good luck with it. I have a 130 Limited Edition which is a cracking little thing. The N52 is a peach and they’re fun with a few mods….mine has Birds B1 suspension and I’ve recently added M3 LCA’s and a pair of camber plates which have really improved the front end feel. I’ve fitted a 135i backbox and Mishimoto intake pipe for a bit more noise. It came with the performance spoiler and air intake, both of which are like rocking horse poo. The halogens on these are utter shite. You might as well strap a pair of candles to the front of your car.

Ayy in SA there was one exactly the same for sale but condition was way better and almost bought it but k's were to high and just a risk that I was not so ready to take. But love the video and lots of surport from South Africa

Bro I'm in SA and I bought this brand new in 2008, I have it till this day and I have recently hit 200 000kms on it and it drives like a dream, in all these years I have changed the water pump and thermostat last year and it costs R10k. I recently changed the eccentric sensor and it costs R7k otherwise count the years, its all been routine maintenance, don't be scared of nothing man, I'm never going to sell mine, nomatter what, this is a proper drivers car and is fast as hell

I have one of these currently love it! Can’t wait to see what you do with it! Looked at supercharging it but not sure as I can’t find anywhere that does a turbo kit not less it’s all custom built! Amazing car I drive mine like a Stole it every time great fun ha
