Finally my dream has come true, in a remote part of the world I found a perfect little island paradise to make my survival videos on. My advice for continued expansion of the island? Buy a couple mangrove saplings and plant them near that section where the shallows meet the island. As a saltwater-freshwater tolerant plant, it can help prevent erosion, act as a micro biome for smaller animals like fish and crustaceans, and provide you with a method of expansion that doesn't require a lot of manual/mechanical labour to get done and can even potentially let you create a second lagoon if you are strategic about placement of the saplings. Aside from that a vermiculture(basically a compost box, but with worms to assist with the breakdown process) to place scraps and turn out better quality soil with, a pair of small livestock(a couple chickens would probably work best), and a sackful of potatoes(preferably ones that have already sprouted) and rocks. Build a container, pour rocks into the bottom(half a foot deep depending on how wide the container) so that excess water can drain out without waterlogging the container, add enough soil to cover up the rocks, place the sprouting potatoes about a foot distance from each other, then proceed to cover them with about half a foot of dirt. In a month's time you will have a great deal of potatoes on your hands that can be utilized in a number of ways.

No need to buy mangrove saplings, just directly plant the mangrove propagules when they are fully grown on nearby mature mangroves.

Owning land more than just a small 5,000 sq ft backyard is amazing. I bought a house on 5 acres in Tennessee a couple years ago and my backyard is a thick, natural forest with tons of trees, a creek, a pond, brush, and wildlife. Its amazing just having immediate access to something like that. An Island is for sure on my bucket list haha.

I don’t like your idea because if you fall, and the knife is below you, you have no control over it hanging from a string below you if you fall. But at least if it is in a sheath on your person, you will not impale yourself if you slip and fall. Also when he stored his machete after laying down, he put it into the wood above him. I would worry it would fall out of the wood onto me. I would not put it there. It’s worth being careful out there, especially with blades. One wrong move and there is no hospital to stick you up, or even the microbes that can infect a small cut... gotta be careful.

After watching him climbing trees and falling with his blade. I am concerned he may not survive long. One important rule about survival is that any injury can become life threatening. I hope he is more careful going forward.

Doubt it's the smartest as Indonesia wouldn't allow purchase of their land or home by a foreigner. A long term lease is possible but not to own.

@@UncleRain100 Exactly my thoughts's. A friend of mine was hoodwinked in the Philippines just before pandemic started. He thought he'd bought 10 acre's of land to which I advised him to look further into it and it turned out that he's leased it. Which is unfortunate as he's almost mid 60's.

i'm indonesian, and actually our island is not for sales, there is a law about it. Even indonesian citizen wouldn't allowed to buy island. Maybe you can ask the local authorities or keep it hide :)

Ocean waves relax and organize the brain . The ocean gives off healthy negative ions too. Very nice! Put rocks in the fire, something they never do on survival shows. Gives off oven heat! Also look for all edible plants & roots. Something else they don't do. 🔥🌱

The only things that I would have done differently are making foot protection and make the shelter slightly off of the ground to prevent water pooling underneath as well as protection against any ground dwelling insects. Not being a native of the area, his immune system would be weak against injury he may sustain there, and a simple cut could turn serious to deadly in a matter of hours. But that looks like an amazing island and hope you can enjoy the fruits of your purchase for years to follow!

Yep, not sure what his "survival" experience is but I guess I'm used to a real survivalist in Les Stroud. His is the only show I'll watch. Watching this to me there were so many mistakes made. But whatever, still cool to have an island to yourself.

Have fun, but remember: some of the larger species of reef fish (like potato groupers) may be more than 20 years old - you could easily upset the ecology in such a small area in only a few weeks. I’d recommend using a boat and fishing in the open water for oceanic species, and thus maintaining the delicate balance of the island and its immediate vicinity. Anyway, have fun.

Island Development in Indonesia Let’s underline once again that foreigners cannot be landowners in Indonesia. However, you can rent an island and develop it for tourism or agriculture. Thus, in theory, you can plan and regulate your work on the island, but it will still belong to Indonesia, and you will be strictly subject to Indonesian law, pay rent and make other payments.

After that, the land will go back to the government since the foreigner cannot own land in Indonesia. The worst part of HP, that is if the government sees you abuse the land or use it as not intended. The government will revoke it.

@Road Hobbit In Indonesia it is a little bit more complicated than that. Foreigners cannot own the land. That is why for foreigners, the best you can get is Hak Pakai. Which means that you only have the right to use it. Which is really different if you are a citizen which you can have a Hak Milik or Right to Own, that you own forever and you can give it to your children. Most of HP is the land owned by the government, so when the HP expires, the land goes back to the government.

@Road Hobbit Wait I thought the island in this video was in Indonesia. Do you mean that the title is under your Indonesian partners? Yup, some foreigners do that in Indonesia too, but it is still not owned by you but by your partner. If the couple gets divorced in the future, and if the land goes to the foreigner, the foreigner must sell it under one year (if I am not mistaken under a year or maybe under a month, I forgot). The same law also applied to a non Indonesian citizens who got it from their Indonesian parents or if that person was Indonesian and changed their citizenship. To clarify it the word "change their citizenship", Indonesian cannot have more than one citizenship.

Yeah i knew it...I am married with indo women for 10 years now and we met a "notaris" in Bali for our marriage so i know a little bit about this topic..many foreigners are forced to give back their expensive villa back to the governement after 20 years...its posdible to extend once but many of them dont know it and the administration is not easy to understand if you dont know anybody...for example my two daughters can own anything in there due to the fact that they re born there and have indo nationality...

But Jesus was completely obedient to God He went to the cross to die for us and now we do not trust in our obedience but in His. it says, “Yet now he has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault.” Gods wrath and Judgment went on Jesus Because He was carrying our sins so God punished Jesus as if he had sinned now God will Justly treat you like you have never sinned after you believe upon Him and receive his righteousness as a gift and put your trust in Jesus and in he’s obedience instead of you trying to be right with God by the things you do. so when the blood of Jesus is over you God cannot treat you like a sinner! He never wants to but now He can Justly treat you like you never sinned Jesus was our sacrifice for our sins! Tell God you admit your a sinner and ask Him to wash you with His blood and receive His Gift of righteousness. Come out of darkness and into light! it’s your part to receive Jesus to believe upon Him. It says, “Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.” Don’t think it’s not wrong to sin -because He loves us.
