In this video I'm answering your questions about the buyout and about where Tangerine Travels goes from here.
Also, Laska got hurt and it looks like she's going to need surgery, so in this video I'll tell you about that as well.

What a decent man. He shared what he could and even after all the stress of a breakup and the buyout he respected what he thought might make Maddie uncomfortable. It should be a usual thing but these days it’s rare to see that level of respect and maturity. I’m really blown away. PS. Can’t wait to see what you have in store for us, Jordan.

Hi Jordan, I just went through this with my dog also (both CCL’s, 6 months apart) I’m also a nurse, so I do have a little understanding… The tests the vet did are 100% diagnostic of a complete CCL tear. Once that ligament is torn, it will not heal on its own. With surgery, there is a good chance of healing and getting back to pre-surgery activity, however any dog that has this will most likely have arthritis in a couple of years. WITHOUT surgery, besides not being able to walk (because she can’t support weight in the back leg without the ligament), she will further damage her meniscus and have worse arthritis much sooner. Here in Florida our dog’s surgeries were $5k EACH. 😵‍💫 If she does have the surgery, the most important part is going to be how strict you are with limiting her movement until it can completely heal… up to 6 months. It’s hard! Especially for huskies, (mine is a malamute lab mix). This is a really common injury in large active dogs, and probably the most common surgery (orthopedic) that vets perform. I hope this information is helpful! Good luck, and lots of love to Laska.

@@TangerineTravels Adding on to what Genevieve said (which all matched my experience as well)- the recovery period is rough. When our dog tore her CCL, the post surgical period involved keeping her crated to restrict movement a lot of the time, and carrying up/down stairs, etc. The recovery time could vary, but is probably going to be at least 8-12 weeks of extremely limited movement . The reason for this was that while she recovers from the first surgery, her other back leg is at high risk of tear as she might put more weight on it than normal to overcompensate. So it’s very common for dogs who tear one CCL to eventually tear the other 😞 Unfortunately we were told the same thing, surgery is pretty much the only option, otherwise the other leg is now at risk too, and ultimately can result in complete immobility. Sending well wishes to Laska!

Is it possible for doggo to do some water exercise in a deep pool after surgery to burn off some excess energy? I can imagine a lab-husky mix getting severe cabin fever being cooped up.

So glad that the cab driver's suggestion turned out well. I was not happy either to see how the first ortho doc was stretching the injured area more than necessary. The exrays should have been sufficient enough to make a decision. I worked at an orthopedic office and the doctors were very gently with testing the injury/muscles for patients. I was sick to my stomach thinking about how Laska would feel afterward the visit. Glad she will be in good hands for the surgery.

I love your honesty and vulnerability to be able to express who you are and how you feel about certain subjects that are interesting. 100% do videos of dating in Mexico especially from a cultural point of view as well as just what dates may look like there. I think most should be ok seeing this at this point and it’s expected. Also I work in franchising and you are 💯 right on branding and logo would be big mistake starting over with new name. Over time if it makes sense you can tweak logo if it makes sense. Good luck with the dog she’s so cute and sweet. Love how you are so transparent about vet costs and other things 👍🏼 good luck dude

I don't remember watching this video a year ago but then I'm an old lady and I forget literally everything the moment after it happens. But I do recall emotions and feelings and my sadness at the breakup. Then I started watching the two of you, on separate channels, kind of strange at first but I grew accustomed to it. Then I found myself gravitating more and more to your videos, I do not know why, perhaps because I have sons, no daughters, so naturally want to see a young sweet guy like yourself grow and prosper in an environment that has radically changed. And you have....I am very happy that you've found yourself a soul mate, May seems to be exactly what you needed at this stage of your life. Your business seems to be thriving...and I was glad to see May got the treatment she needed for her foot. Good things happen to good people and you are two of the best people that I know!

Jordan, you are a gentleman and a scholar. Although you have the capacity to reveal an accurate accounting of your business, you have demonstrated your integrity by adhering to Maddie’s wishes. No matter what differences you may have, you are still two people with goals, likes and comfort zones. I've been watching Tangerine Travels for awhile. Im honestly heartbroken about your breakup but its not my life. I've grown to feel fondness for both of you. It is sad but it is for the best. And I understand why they can't be friends. They do love each other but they are not right for each other. They want different things in life and if either sacrifices what they want to make the other person happy, they will eventually resent the other. It wouldn't end well. And to remain friends would be too painful. I found myself in situation that is different than these two beautiful souls but the results were the same. I was with the same girl for 20 years, married for 16, with children. She desired something else in her life and did what I wanted (I thought she wanted it too) but left. We are no longer friends either, which hurts, but I understand. The love never left but being close just is too hard. Maddie and Jordan made an extremely mature decision which avoided significantly more pain in the future. Blessings to both of them

Even when you don't travel, your solo videos have been some of the best. Your information is fantastic. So many of us are trying to move down there, so when you share golden tid-bits, it's priceless. You are smart to keep any monetary negotiations out of this video, and any videos for that matter. Sometimes curiosity is more than just that question. Also, protect yourself from any backlash talked about within your negotiations with Maddie, out of respect for her and any other legal reasons, plus to also protect her own interests. It's None Of Our Business! Protect your interest(s). Hope Laska gets better soon. I will say that when it comes to money, buying/selling, someone always thinks the business is worth more and another thinks it's not. It's the happy medium that counts even if one or the other thinks it's not so happy. Time for you both to move on. Looking forward to more videos about Mexico! I liked you both and Good Luck! And that wasn't even the bad part. They were like picking her up and almost like tossing her to her other side and things like that. I really didn't feel comfortable with how she was treated that whole time. After she got home and the anesthesia fully wore off, she was in so much pain and could barely move. Whereas the next day, I went to a different surgeon (the one I scheduled the surgery with), and they were able to do all the diagnostic tests without putting her under. And she wasn't in any pain at all except for the already existing injury, of course.

Thank you for being so open and honest in this video while at the same time respecting Maddie’s privacy. It was plain to see your pain when you said the two of you are no longer friends. My heart breaks for both of you. Hopefully with time the pain of the breakup will be overshadowed by all the good memories the two of you shared. All the best to Laska. I’m glad that you found a more compassionate vet and I hope Laska’s surgery goes well. I look forward to your future videos wherever you travel. I especially like the idea of some videos involving community service.

Jordan, a few years back our dog also ruptured the ligament in his right rear leg. We took him to our trusted Vet and he told us that he would only heal with the expensive surgery the Vet there told you about, but here it was quite a bit more. My wife went online to research the injury and somehow she found a company that sold a knee brace that worked wonders. It went on just like one you might wear, with Velcro closures, and he wore it most of the day. We don't know how, but his leg did heal without the surgery, our Vet was dumbfounded. You are an athletic guy, I'm sure you know the type of brace I'm talking about, you might want to check it out. Good Luck, and thanks for the entertainment you have provided the last few years.

Dumbfounded-lol . Vets know if ur dog doesn’t jump for a few months or less, the ligament will heal. But there’s no $ in doing that.

Red light therapy may help Laska in the meantime. It would be interesting to find a holistic vet to get an exam

Glucosamine is great for lots of things, but it will not repair a torn ligament. Surgery unfortunately is the only way to fix this problem. Best to you both.

Thank you! The vet that I ended up scheduling the surgery with said that he'll want Laska to be taking this supplement called Flexadin every day for the rest of her life. It promotes joint health and has glucosamine as well as several other ingredients.

I like your videos and I admired your honesty and how respectful you are regarding Maddie. Jordan, I recall your early videos, when you hardly talked and looked like you felt awkward. Wow you've come a long way baby! Quite the pro now, and the quality is top notch with great content. And thanks to Maddie for being that catalyst who's helped you get to where you are today (and vice versa!). Hopefully our relationships always add to who we are as human beings.

For awhile you could do more of your interesting financial videos or the ones involving negotiating the various Mexican rules and procedures when traveling/living there, especially since (as you've mentioned) some of those are changing. I'm thinking (especially after reading some of the comments on this video) that the sooner Laska gets her leg repaired, the better. May you both have the best of luck on great results regarding that! Update: Finally I see that she's now received it! Awesome pawsome! ☺️ Let the healing begin!

I appreciate all that you are going through and all the changes. I look forward to watching your videos. Don't worry about the orange car. Tangerine Travels means more than that. I would like to see you also going to other central American Countries, like Nicaragua, Panama, and even Costa Rica. I know this travel channel is mostly about Mexico, but it's fun to do something unexpected and to compare. I wish Laska the best.
