ALIZEE, 32, from Brussels, is a mother of two who's recently been targeted by trolls after a TikTok video of her breastfeeding her eight-year-old daughter went viral. This all started after Alizee was breastfeeding her second child; one-year-old daughter, Zaylee, during a family walk and Maya, 8, asked for some of her milk too. Alizee's ex partner and father to both children, Benjamin, thought this was a beautiful and natural moment, so decided to film Maya taking her mum's milk and they posted it on TikTok soon after. Alizee told Truly: "There's nothing wrong with breastfeeding my eight-year-old daughter. I was really grateful that she asked." Although Alizee and Benjamin thought this was a 'normal' and 'natural' thing, the internet world did not agree. Alize said: "I was not prepared at all for all the comments, such as: 'Who's this woman?', 'She's totally crazy'. Even sometimes it was directly to Maya." Despite the online hate the family have received, Alizee says she will continue to breastfeed her daughters for as long as they want to because there's 'nothing wrong' with what she is doing.

Thank YOU! This is exactly what I was thinking. Are they going to regret filming and posting this, when in a few years, this child is getting humiliated in school or in public, because she's breastfeeding on a video on KZfaq and TikTok and the internet in general? The mother is asked if she has any regrets about posting the video. The mother says her children are her world and she has to protect them. But no, no regrets. Wow. Her child was visibly embarrassed when answering the question she was asked when filming. That should have been a sign then and there to shut it down. They clearly don't seem to care that she is embarrassed. Sad. Very sad.

Yeah and aside from that, this is going to haunt her later because her daughter is way to old to still be breastfed. I'm definitely all for breastfeeding but if your kid is old enough to where they're supposed to be potty trained then you shouldn't be breastfeeding. I'm not telling her how to raise her daughter, I'm just mentioning that this is going to haunt the mom later if she continues to baby her daughter like this.

I took a class in college called "Human Growth and Development." The professor was young and fun. She said that when the kid is old enough to say "Mom, I'm hungry," he or she is too old to breastfeed. You gotta cut the cord sometime.

I think what's more absurd to me than breastfeeding your 8 year old child is: feeling the need to share it on fkn TikTok. At 30 years old...I feel such a disconnect from this generation that feels the need to broadcast EVERY. SINGLE. THING. They may not have "expected" it to go viral like this, but, just why would you even think to post it online to begin with? The other issue is the selfishness. The mother is only speaking on HER regrets or lack there of. When it's her daughter that is being targeted & clearly uncomfortable speaking on the topic. Lastly, why the hell would you go and make ANOTHER extremely public video about the topic?! 🤦‍♀️ The lady claims she wants to protect her daughter but has a whole camera crew in her daughters face while asking if she likes to suck on her b00bs at 8 years old.

Agree. I'm 35 and have 2 kids ages 14 and 6 and very rarely post about them, myself, or my partner. Not because I don't love them or I'm not proud of them, but because I don't feel the need to have a bunch of people I either haven't talked to in yrs or online "friends" I don't personally know needing to know every little thing about my kids or where we are at all times of the day. My kids like making tiktoks and youtube shorts, but since my youngest is again only 6 the rule for her is she is not allowed to show her face at all. Just because there are so many disgusting pervs on the internet and I don't want them getting off to my kid or her being exploited in any other way. So, she uses a Roblox avatar, her plushies to act out things, or uses her hands like they are talking. I have recently been seeing a lot of other parents having their kids do the same thing too.

I've caught my nephews - who have very LITTLE monitoring online, watching some really disturbing sexual content on KZfaq that works its way thru filters because it's made to look like children's content. Things 5 & 8 year olds truly shouldn't be watching. People like this woman seem to be so ignorant to sheer AMOUNT of creeps online, they don't think about their child's pictures/vids being saved on a predators phone for sick reasons smh

I think most parents are recognizing that children can’t truly consent to having their world broadcast on social media. That’s why so many posts now just refer to the child as Mr. or Miss [and their age] or they cover the face of the child in any posts.

@@KBcollision I completely agree with you and many others about posting and using their children, but there are so many folks doing it now. Those folks do not see a problem with it. As the pendulum swings, we will see more folks not putting their children on social media. when they see the harm it poses. When their children grow up, they will be the ones who will speak out against it. Until then, some people will only see how much money they can make off their children. The internet seems to have no boundaries.

Watching that video made me feel so uncomfortable 😳 I’m very supportive of mothers who nurse their *babies* 💯 It’s the most natural bonding that happens between a mother and her *infant* !! The mother and father featured seem to be the ones who want this. The 8 year old looked embarrassed talking about it!! I think she was curious about what the milk tastes like, but instead of just pumping and offering it to her in a cup, mom and dad decide to take a walk, choose the scenery, then inform the 8 year old that she can try the milk then ; directly from the tap. The whole situation is sus to me.

Breast milk changes with the age of the child. So currently her breast milk is for the new baby and wouldn't necessarily be appropriate for the older child.

Interesting fact, because each breast works independently from the other, if a toddler is feeding on one and a baby on the other, the milk will be tailored to each child's needs

Absolutely, any benefit that the child could get from breastfeeding would happen before 9 months of age. The daughter isn't benefiting from this but is being harmed because it's causing an unnatural attachment to the mother. If breastfeeding primary school children was a good idea, then we would have been doing it for the last 170,000 years. But it isn't beneficial and that is why it is not being done by mother's who are mentally healthy. I do believe that this is a form on mental child abuse.

I have 4 children. Longest I breastfed was until one was 4. My 6 year old has asked to breastfeed when seeing me nurse her younger sibling and I said no. I don’t really care if someone breastfeeds till the child is older but I think that is in appropriate to post and exploit her. I would hate if my mother had posted private things about me. I hated that there was even a naked toddler picture of me in the photo album at home. People need to take care of what they post of their children.

It's basically 2023 now and people can get away with whatever they want, no matter how good or bad, but I think at 8 it's no longer about the kid. It's something the mother and father are getting some sort of enjoyment out of. Videoing it all the time makes it even more questionable. Kid doesn't even look like that's what it wants.

I breastfed both my kids (now 11 yr old boy and 2yr old girl) when my daughter was born and I was breastfeeding her, my son was curious, asking lots of questions and actually did ask me if he could try (which it is ok for kids to be curious).. I did let him try the milk however it was from a cup. It's one thing to let them try because they are curious and it's not going to hurt them in anyway...but posting a video of your older daughter breastfeeding straight from the breast is not good... that is online forever and for her privacy and for her safety I think it was very irresponsible for the parents to have done that.

I don’t understand why humans think it’s natural to breastfeed so long. Animals, who have figured out how to give birth, chew the umbilical cord and care for a nee born solely on instinct, do not feed babies milk once they can eat real food. these mothers have weird attachment issues

I am a cat breeder and I often see slightly older kittens comfort nurse alongside with their younger siblings, so physiologically it’s not outrageous for mammals, but with humans there is the social aspect and the idea of boundaries.

Breast milk is healthy for kids immune system but if the 8 year old wanted to try it a cup is more appropriate for her at that age to try it, she's too big to get it straight from the source at a certain age it should feel awkward, like what is the cut off limit for too old? For my comfort level once you have a full set of teeth and talking your done with breastfeeding

Any benefit that the child could get from breastfeeding would happen before 9 months of age. The daughter isn't benefiting from this but is being harmed because it's causing an unnatural attachment to the mother. If breastfeeding primary school children was a good idea, then we would have been doing it for the last 170,000 years. But it isn't beneficial and that is why it is not being done by mother's who are mentally healthy.

I know this is weird but I think breastmilk from a healthy human being is very beneficial for anybody since its full of minerals, vitamins, some colostrum, and probiotics (hopefully L. Reteuri which is a very beneficial microbe) ...all which will help ur immune system and ur gut's microbiome. To make it less weird u can just pump the milk out in a glass n give it to ur children/partner. What is really weird and unnatural is humans drinking milk from a cow but we have become very socially conditioned to find it acceptable.

I don’t want to be rude because breastfeeding is a personal choice. But for me……I stopped at 1 year. My children at the age of 8 years old wouldn’t even think of wanting breast milk. They would ask for their favorite meals mostly lol My kids are grown , happy and healthy now thankfully lol

Yes! Breast milk has very little nutritional value after 12-18 months as the child can safely drink cows milk and should be eating plenty of solid foods. I don't even understand the people in the comments saying they breast fed until 3 or 4. That's way too damn old, unless you live in an undeveloped country and other food sources are scarce

Any woman who breastfeeds her children past eight to ten months is doing it for her own gratification, not for the child. When their teeth come in, they are ready to start on solid food. That is what teeth are for and cow's milk is just fine. If she feels breast milk is better for the child and is really doing it for the child, she could pump and give it to her child in a bottle. The eight year old does not need breast milk. This "mother" is very self absorbed.
