The protagonist's feelings on hospitals are about as real as it gets. The longer you live the more people you get to watch die. From great grandma to your own spouse, siblings, friends and even children. Life is a cold bitch and it does no one any favors to be sheltered from that fact. It makes the truth a harder pill to swallow.

I hate hospitals too but like most things their a necessary evil and i wish i had more of them in this life. My dad was treated like furniture when he was there for 6 months at the end of his life. He had a stroke and had forgotten who we were due to it. We took him home for the end of his life once there was nothing they could do for him. Not easy but by the end he remembered us you could see it in his eyes even if he couldn’t speak any more. Nurses are heroes and doctors are in high demand but truth be known we need anyone who would work at hospitals that is a special person there.

I feel the same way, I hate hospitals and even doctors offices lol yet... dentists don't bother me Hospitals have always held my worst days, near deaths of all my loved ones and then the death of my father recently. My daughter was born in one obviously, thats the ONLY good thing that has ever happened in a hospital for me personally.

@@residentJokeBiden I'm so sorry, with sincerity in my heart, I want to say, that I'm so sorry your dad was treated like furniture. I worked at our Hospital here, for many years, I was a "rover", I worked wherever I was needed, all the floors, and over at rehabilitation , I also worked in folks homes for Hospice, for several years. I wish I had been there when your dad was ill, I love people, and I love taking care of people, and showing them how much they are loved and cared for. It breaks my heart how nursing homes are, and when I got licensed, a long time ago lol, I started out in the nursing homes.( For 5 years), but it broke my heart and my sons can tell you, how often I'd cry when I got home. I still cried for my patients with Hospice and at the hospital, but for different reasons. Anyways, I don't mean to ramble on, I just wanted to let you know, that, although I don't know you or your family, my heart goes out to you, and so many others. I'm in early retirement due to my health right now, but I pray to one day, be back at with my patients that blessed my life, and my kids life. 🙏 Much laughter, love, good health and blessings to you and your family, and I pray that for any future hospital visits, that youns are treated like the cherished blessings all y'all are, and not furniture. 🦋🤍🦋

Hi Lighthouse. Loved the story. My heart broke though in real life though from one line in your story. When asking about the dog that attacked the man’s son, the first dog mentioned was a pit bull. I totally get why people view them as vicious dogs but not all are that way. It is how they are treated and trained that determines their behavior. I have a bullie and she is a total softy and cuddles more than my kids! I just wanted to leave a comment to help change the stigma about bullies. Not wanting a fight but my bullie is my world and just trying to let people know there is another side to them. That said, love the story!!!

*UPDATE* No lycanthropes have been detected so far. However, if one more doctor pokes my incisions well muttering things like "Yes, I see. Nice. Very good", I'll be the one going on a rampage.

Okay I like this one. A werewolf loose in a hospital is definitely more dangerous than a horse.

So I'm not going to pretend there's any hospital codes for wild animals, none the less a giant werewolf. But the doctor trying to tell everyone to evacuate could have called a code silver, and/or pulled a fire alarm. It would have saved a lot of lives.

What's the scariest thing about being in a hospital? The incompetence of the medical staff!! Years ago, I had mild pain in my lower abdomen, and I was told by the emergency Doctor that it was just kidney stones. They gave me a prescription and sent me home. Hours later the pain was quite severe!! I called an ambulance, but I couldn't wait, so I drive myself to the E.R. Walking into the E.R I passed out!! When I awoke a Doctor gave me the bad news... my appendix had ruptured! So now I had a 6 inch scar on my lower abdomen!! I'd I had been diagnosed correctly I would've only have had a one inch scar! Stupid medical staff!!!

I’m wondering if this’ll be my faves where Lighthouse needs to take a good long look in the mirror after whatever terrible fate befalls him up and befalls. Those crack me up.

I still haven't come across any character who ran to safety whenever they see people running towards them obviously running from something in panic depicting danger. They always stood there so curious and just wondering.
