Күн бұрынI made an indoor homemade obstacle course for my Chihuahua, Mila. How'd it go?
Obstacle course training is a useful activity for dogs. They are trained to run the course for speed and agility, plus it's a great way to help them with obedience and trust.
And with Chihuahuas, you can always build a simple homemade obstacle course. I had 4 obstacles ready - the weaving obstacle, jumping obstacle, ramp obstacle, and a tunnel. However, by the end, I decided Mila had enough with just the first 3 obstacles.
It was an introduction only, so it was fine to stop early.

So excited and at have a BIG question: is it okay to give my sweet pie as shower, as soon as she gets home for the first time? She is around 2 pounds by this Sunday. One more time. My goodness! First, I squealed so loudly when I saw the Margo shirt that the hubby came running. Second, when Mila gave that extended “Are you for real?” glare, I fell out in hysterical laughter and he felt the need to check on me again. Third, I got a side-eyed look from Judy which seem to be asking why I haven’t gotten a shirt made with her on it yet! I think I’m in trouble. 😅 And finally, when will that T-shirt be available? It is an absolute must have!!! 😍🐕❤️

I watched your RV video and wondered if your doggies sleep in a kennel/cage 😀(my term) at home? My chis love hopping between the couch and easy chair. Sweet video...I have a chihuahua-hippopotamus of my own.

Yes, they sleep on the top bunk of the RV in a the crate configuration I describe in my potty training video. I put a den crate on one side and it's open to a potty crate on the back side. That way if they need to go during the night, they're all set. They love it. chihuahua-hippopotamus!!!! I LOVE IT 😂

Oh she's adorable! Haha it's all so new and she's not sure how to do it. I recommend getting her feeling comfortable doing one, and only move on to the next when she's mastered it. 😊 When I got my chihuahua pup, we practiced mini obstacles from 10 weeks old. Now he's 5 months and can do a full agility course at a crazy speed for one treat, so they can definitely do it! 😁

J RR yes for sure, she can do it eventually. It was her very first attempt. What a good boy your sweetie pie is!! He can do the whole course at only 5 months old. ❤️ that’s so cute. I’ll keep working with Mila. She’ll get it.

Epic Sweetie Pie !! You said the ' e ' word and she legged it apace.😂😂😂 Oh that did make me laugh Kelly..Aren't they just the funniest wee dogs ? And they take themselves so seriously Joy, and much laughter.That's their job. Dempsey has added a new item to his daily timetable and it's to ask to go out at around 15:30. The school crossing patrolman passes our gate around them and Sir Dempsey Diddley Doo waits at the gate for his mini bone treat! We call these folk the lollipop man / lady because of the big sign they hold and this lollipop man keeps treats in his pocket for dogs he sees every day whilst he's waiting to cross the kids over the road. If he starts giving chocolate to passing adults I'll be walking to his spot every day.😂😂 Love to you and yours keep safe and happy.🙋💖

They really are!!! And there's so many fun activities you can do with them. Such as your lollipop man / lady walk every day!!! Can you imagine how boring life might be without that daily activity to look forward to? I just LOVE it!!! And I love all the silly little things they do to make me laugh. 😍 As always thanks for sharing. I love hearing from you and Dempsey. 😘

Hi Kelly! I love your channel and all your cute sweetie pies! I have a question for you. I have litter-trained my sweet 5 month old girl, Mosley or “Momo,” but I continue to have an issue with her that I can’t get her to stop doing! She likes to take her poop out and eat it. I have tried just saying “No” when I catch her doing it, and I’ve tried using a bitter spray deterrent but nothing has worked so far! Do you have any tips? Have you ever encountered this issue with any of your sweetie pies? Thank you in advance!!

Shelby R hello, and thank you for the question. YES 🙈 I’ve definitely encountered this problem. I’ve researched it high and low to figure out why they do this. There are various theories about it ranging from a vitamin deficiency, to a learned behavior, to the instinctual need to clean up their area so predators do not smell their scent. There are products you can buy to feed them which supposedly help with this issue but in my experience they don’t always work. My recommendation is to do your best just to clean up the poop immediately every single time she goes so she doesn’t even have an opportunity to eat it. If you can do that consistently for a couple months, hopefully it will break her of the habit. I need to do a video on this because a lot of sweetie pie owners deal with this issue. I wish you the very best 🙏🏻

I just have a question, is a chihuahua more low energy or energetic?

Good question. It completely depends on the individual Chihuahua. Some of them are laid back and calm, while others are high energy and active. They sleep for up to 18 hours a day and then spend their waking hours playing and cuddling. In general, Chihuahuas are extremely alert and protective of their owners so it's super important to socialize them with other people as much as possible regardless if you get a low energy or high energy Chi.
