So my father passed away three years ago and I was totally lost I mean that was my best buddy in the world and it was very unexpected. One day I was shopping at target for my mom a couple months after and I was on the gift card isle which happens to back up to the tcg and sports card area and I happened to take a look and I saw packs that said evolutions with a charizard on it and I kinda smiled it brought back memories of the late 90s and 2000s with my dad. For every hit I got in baseball he would take me to our local comic book store and I could get a pack for each hit I had. So I ended up buying four packs and pulled the mega charizard in the second pack and I was hooked again. When I dove in deeper I discovered an amazing community who looked out for each other and It helped me deal with my grief tremendously. Now I’m a regular collector in my early 30s and I can honestly say not just pokemon but the actually community that came with it saved my life in a way 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 forever grateful

Every couple years I get back into collecting. My most recent was my three-year-old pulling a Fighting Energy gold card from a Chilling Reign pack he got at a birthday party

My daughter got interested and wanted me to start collecting again. Dragonite is my favorite Pokémon and we found some at our LCS. Now, it just keeps growing, and it is something we do together.

A random pack from the gas station down the road, my husband picked up for me. I was having a bad day, and he was trying to make me smile, open up the Lost Origins pack and pulled the Alternate Art Aeradactyl. He opened his and got the Hisuian Arcanine character rare and we've been back into it all ever since!

Started watching Leonhart during the pandemic. Decided to try to get a complete set of Brilliant Stars when it came out. My wife pulled the gold Arceus on the last pack of our first ever booster box. We've been hooked ever since.

honestly chansey is my fav pokemon of all time and i’m glad to see a bigger channel giving it some love. slowly building up a collection of my own. Recently picked up a psa 10 alt art blissey and just sent off a base set, shadowless, and chansey ex to PSA! no specific card got me back into collecting but my best friend from high school wanted to pick up some cards a few years back and opening the packs with him was so much fun snd the rest was history! we still go to the store to pick up packs whenever he’s nack in town. Would love to have this card in my collection!

I love this collection!! Mine wasn’t just one card, I started playing legends of arceus and went back and dug back up my collections and it just turned into a wildfire for me! I have just went crazy with cards and plushes. Collecting had also just helped me with my anxiety so much, it’s almost like a therapy. Seeing channels and collections like yours inspires me so much!

What really got me back into collecting, was all the amazing content creators like yourself who dedicate their time to entertaining and informing the community! Also my pikachu lv.x psa 10 that I graded myself, has to be my all time favorite grail card I own!

My son got me back into collecting, although it wasn't that long ago. We was watching the original series on Netflix and went to the shop the next day and he asked for some packs. We ended up pulling the celebrations zard and we both got hooked from that point.

My son gifted me a Mega Charizard ex from Evolutions and I’ve been a Charizard guy for Wayyyyyyy to long lol. We started opening evolution packs and I was hit with so much nostalgia that it made my heart melt ❤❤. It brought me and him closer and closer while we were opening packs hunting our favourites lol. He did get a little frustrated not getting shiny cards lol but he later learned it’s not only about getting an expensive card but the memories together and building our master sets. I took my daughter to the evolving skies pre launch at our gaming shop where they teach you to play. I had sold my cards at a boot sale when I was a teen 😮 we had some build and battle kits and I pulled the moonbreon in the first pack 😂 I hadn't followed Pokemon for a while but everyone went mental and that kickstarted us collecting again!

Card that got me back in is my original Team Magma's Groudon holo from when I was a kid. Groudon was my favourite pokemon when Ruby & Sapphire came back and so that card was my favourite in my childhood binder!

I found my old cards and found my old Crystal Guardians Charizard. First card I ever got graded and it got me absolutely hooked and rooed right back into the hobby.

It was actually my best friend Fishy who got me back into collecting. After Logan Paul broke that 1st ed base set box, he got us each a booster box of modern pokémon cards. I believe it was chilling reign at the time, and from then on we just kept buying cards any chance we got! Also, you are my favorite human and I loved watching this video and seeing you go in depth about your collection! Your studio is amazing but I am also manifesting the studio of your dreams for you🤍🤍

If anything, it's not a new card that got me back in, but rediscovering Pokemon TCG gave me incentive to go look through my old collection, which had a Shining Mewtwo from Neo Destiny, pack fresh and in a screw-down plastic protector straight out the pack.

I got back into it with the Pokémon Go tcg set last year! My fiancée and I bought an ETB during a trip to Target as a joke, and we were hooked immediately after we pulled the Radiant Venusaur from it!

Thanks for the tour! While I hung onto the best WotC holos from my childhood for like 15 years, I started collecting again after my wife, who never collected as a kid, picked a holo Eevee promo (SWSH190) last summer and now we both have massive individual collections. It's a great hobby to share

When i found my old cards some years back that i saved from when i was a kid. One of them was my favourite, and it was Absol (96/95) from Team Magma & Team Aqua! Notable mentions are Latias and Latios EX!

Southern islands is my fav! the mew and the artwork is really a nostalgia trip and got me hooked!

Seeing the tin promo Arita Pikachu & Zekrom in stores when Team-UP came out got me hooked again, I'd always loved TCGs and had been fighting the urge to restart my childhood hobby again when I saw that tin in a Target and I couldn't be happier to be collecting again! Great video Chloe!

Took a few years away from the Pokémon TCG during the Diamond & Pearl era but decided to go to Toys’R’us (rip) with my dad to buy a single Breakpoint booster pack with the hopes of pulling the Darkrai EX Full Art (just loved the look of it). I said I’d only start collecting again if I pulled it from that pack so when we got back to the car I opened the pack and by some miracle I ended up pulling it! We both went crazy 😂

The card that got me back into collecting was the rainbow chunkachu, the chase for that card reminded me of the chase for the charizard from base set and I HAD to have it, which luckily I pulled!

Tbh it was a card it was a set for me, ancient origins was the set that got me back into Pokémon after having a 10 year break from it, when I saw the prime cards it pulled me in!

Dragon majesty is what got me back into it. My birthday gift from a relative one year was a Target gift card and I walked into the store and saw a display of dragon majesty ETBs and got one. I pulled a Dragonite GX and as I knew nothing about modern cards, I thought I had something amazing lol I was sucked right back in for the first time since Fossil!

Hi there ! Three weeks ago, my husband surprised us with pre-ordering the TCG bundles coming out to the US this fall ( POKÉMON TCG: SCARLET AND VIOLET 151 COLLECTION ULTRA-PREMIUM BOX and all the other bundles/booster packs). It wasn't so much a SPECIFIC card, but when I filled out the form, it just re-ignited my desire to collect again, where I stopped after the Gold, Silver and Crystal PKMN came out. Now, I brought home my base set, fossil set, and jungle set collections from my mom's house ( after 20 years) and they are still pretty much in mint and great condition! I have a few 1st edition holos, non holos and are currently saving to buy more archival sleeves and binders . Apologies for the long reply lol.

I always told myself I'd finish my vintage holo sets when I was old enough to have disposable income. Last year I started filling the gaps in and the first card I bought was holo Hitmonlee from Fossil (which I actually thought I already had but apparently not). I've since slowly fallen for the modern cards too and love Crown Zenith.

That's a great setup and an amazing collection. Very cool video. About your question, in my case it wasn't any specific card or Pokemon. One day I saw a box of cards in a shop. Didn't had the money at the moment to buy some, but I really wanted to. After that I started watching Pokemon tcg openings/breaks on KZfaq and it made me want to get some cards for myself even more. Ultimately at a convention I found a stand of the company which at the time was the official distrybutor of Pokemon tcg in Poland. They had some stuff at decent prices so I picked up a few things (a Xerneas tin, a Lycanrock GX collection box, and some other stuff). After that it pretty much went downhill and there was no escaping 😉

Now I am completing my collection of Snorlax which is my favorite and I did not know the existence of the domino's one so, thanks for that ! During the height of the pandemic, I picked up a random two pack from Walgreens that had Breakpoint and Steam Siege. I ended up pulling the secret rare Gyarados from Breakpoint. Right then I was hooked again and haven't looked back. My wife has joined in and we love opening packs and searching for cards together. We love your content Chloe!

Very awesome collection🔥🍀👌 When the Pokémon hype started a few years ago i take the chance and bought a unweighed 1st edition Team Rocket pack (my favourite set) and my very first pack contains a 1st ed Dark Golbat holo. That was the start i collect Pokémon cards from vintage to modern. So the rocket pack brought me back in collecting😁🤗

Nidoking has always and will always be my favourite pokemon but the card that pulled me back into the hobby was the chase for that Rainbow Chonkachu, which I managed to pull twice

I hadn't collected or kept up with Pokemon cards since I was a kid and was blown away that Pokemon was making full art cards. I thought they were so gorgeous and the Shining Fates Shiny Vault Charizard VMax really caught my attention and got me back into collecting again. ❤🔥 I don't have that card as part of my collection yet but would love to have it someday!

Everything looks great. I highly recommend 4/5 shelf glass curio to display your favorite cards. Looks super nice and you can put lights inside if wanted. A bit difficult to assemble but worth it if you have the space for it.
