I had a throuple in the Sims where they all had the player trait and the only thing that stopped random negative sentiments was voting in the Free Love NAP.

The moment James said he was going to save money for the bills, I KNEW we were in for a big side quest spending spree into bankruptcy . 😂 I do think Laird and household should move to the bigger nicer apartment upstairs and rent out their old unit, especially if Laird is going back into the bakery thing the butler’s pantry would be useful.

I commented on the last part, but I still think the throuple could work properly using the club system! Not only will sims not get jealous, but there's a better chance they'll stay together whilst in a group (allegedly).

You can tell deli takes him to lots of cafes: "we gotta make a wall to take pictures at for the 'gram!"😅😅

For the bakery: The selling table works through a column/spandrel opening! Then you can put a door on the side and lock it to keep the customers out 😊

it's the fact that it's supposed to be the rent LP, but James is being forced to do literally everything else since the pack is so broken 🤦‍♂️ (the bakery is cute, tho)

Also, IDK how possible it is with space and the way you have the lot laid out, but it would be really fun to have a bunch of different "storefronts" that sell different things. Like a pizzeria, coffee shop, BBQ, etc. all using the selling tables and having Mr. Abbernatty, Laird, Dana, Glames, and the kids all "running" the different stores. Also, it would be very funny to have doors to all of these in the apartment. just random door everywhere

We need a good NICE LOOKING single tile pocket door. That would make building things like the butler pantry so much easier.

In spite of all the problems James is having getting his bakery to work, I like the fact that Laird is running it while wearing her sleepwear.

I think there's a setting in MCCCommand Center that stops jealousy in throuples. Risshella used it in her Sims in Bloom challenge on stream and it straight-up removes jealousy in the sims that are in that relationship. None of her sims even had the Player trait.

ya know, the sims is so inclusive, it's sort of surprising they dont add anything for multiple-partner relationships at this point.

Maybe you should give Dana and Glames the Player trait to stop the weird conflict between them

I feel like if could be time for some more family game play. At least having and start raising a kid soon. Grandpa Abbernatty would be such a vibe. I'm picturing puzzles, story reading time and being creative together. It could be nice to move the household to the three bedroom apartment with the balcony and butler pantry.

Food disappears when you travel to another unit. Make sure it's put away in the fridge or table first. I found this out when I tried to do a resort concept and made a ton of food for a "buffet". Pretty disappointed when it all disappeared

You can only sell 8 slices of wedding cake. Have been glitches for a long time. Maybe try removing the 4 slices and sell separately

So glad that James jumped onto the throuple thing, since so many commenters were craving it. I'd like to see Laird have a baby with Glames, and maybe Dayna can turn the kid into a vampire when it grows up into a teen. That way, they're all the kid's parents, in their own way.

Sims needs either a bank system so you can more easily put some money aside or at least a cash box that you can put only so much in. The cash box would fit easily especially with all the money making ways there are now.

For the bakery, just add a half wall lower than the selling table and the for rent spandrel that has the pastel colors (so it looks like part of the wall), thats how i did my bakery (but with a different spandrel because it was before the pack came out ) and it works

This episode had everything…building, baking and budding romances! No Batuu though 😢😂 I loved the bakery portion, happy to see you play that part more James. Also, please put in a bathroom for your customers- I think some of them were trying to get into your apartment to use yours 😅

I love the idea of having a bakery- in my head the residents of Oasis Springs were complaining about how they were replacing a community lot with more residentials and Laird saw the abandoned cupcake machine (from Dine Out let's play) and worked out how to try and please everyone!

I’d definitely recommend getting the free love NAP too. It’s the only way I’ve been able to reasonably play with polyam sims. Besides one of them always running away. But that’s just sims… Mods would help a lot because they do exist, but that’s a different can of worms

When the camera failed again by being too low at the last bridge - that was funny as hell. Especially with James doing a double face palm 🤣

I use fences for the selling table thing because I've noticed that if there are any appliances on that table the customers will use those instead of buying the stuff you're trying to sell. the one from the werewolves pack is pretty handy for it. and then just hide the fence between the sign and the table legs. I hope that helps.

I must say, introducing wonderful whims into this throuple's dynamic would work wonders. It's definitely something worth considering. 😉❤️

I am pretty sure that MCCC has a setting for "no jealousy." That seems a whole lot easier than trying to cheat the trait.

i think we should keep the bakery but have it in the front of the building so sims can just access it from outside and then the building looks like a mixed use apartment building! have it be all cute and pink so it contrasts the brick 😂

I think it may be beneficial to give your partners the player trait. They might not get jealous of your sim but they might develop negative sentiments towards each other. Idk if the sims 4 would be that in depth but its worth checking

Opening your own business at the same time as adjusting to new relationships is very stressful, so I will disregard this, UNLESS it continues after the Bakery and the throuple is a success. I love that bakery!! Don't forget that the stand mixer lets you prep ingredients...then those expensive cakes will be cheaper to make!! And like others have said, maybe putting your thruple in a club with flirting stuff and say 'no mean' would help? Not a perfect solution, since you'd always have to be in the club...but the least mod heavy way to do it is probably to just use MCCC to turn off jealousy, so you don't need more mods. (The 'free love' thing is still an option, but not a great one since it affects everyone in the neighborhood and could mess up your thruple.)

The bottom left corner of my tv is blocked just enough to hide the money so it’s fun to watch and be just as surprised as James when he inevitably runs out of money. 😂

BTW, Ravasheen has a piggybank mod that gives you the opportunity to store money and isn’t as expensive as the safe. You get 3 objects I believe, a money bag, a tip jar, and an actual piggy bank. All store money for you 😊.

Yeah, sentiments broke Player, but the Free Love NAP still works. Oh, also, my throuples use the Dream Home Decorator bed with the double bed with a single over.

Lumpinou has mods that allow open relationships and woohoo with more than 1 sim if you're interested in mods making this a little easier

I think instead of a wall in the bakery maybe you could put some wall decorations through moveobjects on -> place on wall near the ceiling -> delete wall. That way that decoration will still stay there as if it's hanging from the ceiling. However I don't think it will be visible when the walls are down... so alternatively you could try putting hanging plants above the market table or some other hanging/ceiling decoration to visually create some sort of barrier, I think they're all visible all the time

I like putting walls between the front part of the table and the 2 little side table and connect the middle of the wall with a fence to add a spandrel and then remove the fence, works well too

I love the throuple, just wish the sims worked better for it. The new apartments look great! Might be an idea to move Glames and his siblings into one of them so he's closer and hangs around more, and you get more interactions with his family.

I think they’re deducting your taxes from your rent. Plus the pop up mentions that that doesn’t include tenants that’s behind rent. It might be the reason why you’re getting less back than you should.

Since the throuple doesn’t work great without mods, I’d love to see Laird find a new partner and the McGlorbins wind up with the alien Bigwallet cousins (Trenton and Hazel’s kids that they had during werewolves). That could tie that side back into things more. Plus, they’re also aliens (or at least half aliens) and I think there are the exact same number of them as there are McGlorbins!

Okay, so for a food stall I recommend checking Marmelad on KZfaq - they've done a "food truck idea" stop motion build video with food stall being build into said food truck and it seems to be working (looks like spandrels and half walls were used) 🤔I hope this works out, because that bakery looks too gorgeous to not being used ^^

Classic James. Needs money to cover the bills. Then proceeds to spend all of the money. Date holiday is on Saturday, bills come on Monday, rent comes on Thursday… 😂❤

It'd be cool if they added a safe to the sims that isn't as expensive as the vault and where you can store a smaller amount of money .

Re: bed for 3. My S2 throuples used 2 double beds move_objects'd together + a mod to make the beds accessible. I'm sure S4 modders will've come up with similar solutions.

YESS I did it, I watched the WHOLE Bigwallet family playlist from the beginning to here! 694 videos in the playlist. I don't know even how long it took me but I can say I have finally caught up on the family saga.

well, since this series seems to be on a bit of a hiatus at the moment, and in case James checks back here before part 20: Lumpinou has a mod (open love life) that allows not only for open relationships, but also specifically for throuples (i believe it's "ask to have exclusive relationship with..." when clicking on one partner and asking about the second, but the mod's info page explains more clearly, i think)! and, since it was created by a modder (living saints, geniuses, the sims 4's last line of defense lol), it actually takes things like sentiments into consideration, so you wouldn't have all this trouble with A getting mad at C because B is flirting with them, etc.! it isn't 100% perfect, but it works _MUCH_ better than any unmodded solutions! Surprised to not see more comments suggesting this mod!

When using the table as an enclosed selling point you need to create a sprandel above the table then a wall with a locked door on the side to keep the customers out.. u can add a half wall in front of your table to close it off more.

I’m a bit late, but you could’ve put a bit of artificial grass down in the bakery with some plants, and then put the selling table on it, and then it’s like the bakery was trying to make it look like it’s an outside stall, because they’re groovy and stuff!

If you want to make sure you have enough money for rent you can subtract it from the rent you get paid on Thursday immediately and then just cheat it back when the bills come! ❤️
