Nooo, I wish the old challenges hadn't been all added back, it's not as satisfying if at the end of this playthrough there's still a bunch of challenges that can't be removed, it just feels incomplete. It's more satisfying if the house is finally clean and nice at the end honestly.

Use electrify spell on your stove and then repario on the stove and then you've completed the maintenence event, I had it before with a spellcaster sim. So yeah that's a work around.

You could give the kids Pelham's old bedroom to share, since Pelham seems to prefer napping on the old beds outside. Give them a little privacy now they're old enough to want it.

The volcanic activity lot challenge is actually programmed NOT to have any of the lava rocks hit your house or any objects. They only land on empty patches...which makes it less of a challenge IMO.

9:04 Regarding the holiday thing, from my experience at most three sims can have it, so if you have more than three sims in your household some will not have it. The selection of "holiday sims" (Semaj and the two kids in your case) tends to stay constant throughout multiple holidays, but can change when there's a change to who belongs to the household.

You wanted helpful tips with all the lot challenges back. GATHER WATER 💧from the fishing hole literally across the street from Semaj's house. Even the kids can gather water so if all 4 of you gather water everyday, you’ll always have warm showers and probably gain a surplus to sell. In my centuries generation game I have everyone gather (4 now but 1st generation was 8 and they didn't have plumbing in the 1800s) and always have enough for baths and usually have a completely filled surplus i sell once a week so I know it works if done everyday. Also now that you're off the grid again you can sell the electrical box and water heater unless you want to add a roof one to the rocket pad. Also buy lunch boxes for Semaj and the kids and put into your inventory so you can have quick meals every where you go. They don't work on OTG but if walk into road they will. You could also get the kids into knitting, bracelet making and/or cross stich and have them earn their keep as well. Just some tips I've learned.

I love having all the challenges back, the chaos is what makes it fun and i feel like it gets a little too easy near the end of the LP when there's only one or two lot challenges left! Plus it lets some that were removed super early on have another debut lol, and will make removing everything at the end way more satisfying.

A thought that *really* tickles my imagination is a side story from the perspective of one (or both) of the kids moving into adulthood and building a new life after their horrific traumatic childhood, being raised in a haunted house, with no electricity or water, mostly no space to themselves, mould and health hazards everywhere, one ghost parent, and one that *litterally* never cared about them at all. Knowing their birth was only a small "side quest" in the one father's obession with completing life challenges that a higher power commanded him to complete. I dunno, I could just imagine the scenario in my mind, and it could be an awesome film even. Don't know if a youtube let's play would make it justice, but hey! Could be quite entertaining, huh?

I haven't played with that specific lot challenge but based on wording, it says to REPLACE the stove. So would that complete the event? Or is it another weird Sims 4 glitch and replacing would have no effect on the event? But yeah, I think you just have to REPLACE the stove, oven, OR grill. That's my interpretation.

Yea the Maintenance Troubles lot challenge seems bugged on any lot that isn't Residential Rental. I tried having it in my own game and it would pop up issues with no way to fix them. The only event that seems to work is the cursed book one hahaha

I tried this challenge out and have been having a lot of fun! I decided that since the challenges are tied to the lot I didn't allow my sim to leave the lot normally, I have to earn each travel from the wheel I also added "sim challenges" with the squemish, high maintenance and socially awkward traits which could also be removed using the wheel It's the most fun Ibe had with the game in a long time, thanks for coming up with the challenge!

The level of chaos in this episode was just *chef’s kiss*!

Now we probably won't see any more volcanic eruptions since that doesn't seem to happen when a lot of other challenges are on (or maybe it's just super rare), it's my favourite one bc I love cool rocks and volcanoes :D I suppose it's going to be chaotic otherwise!

I posted this on Part 4, but here it is again about Paparazzi. Hope it helps! Paparazzi are immortal. The only way they'll drown is if you add them to your family. If you can't get them to come over and hang-out, make a club. You can choose them for a club no problem. Add swimming as the only activity and start a meeting to get them on the lot. Laggy framerate "hack": whenever it happens, open and close your notification board. It fixes it for some reason. Not a long-term solution, but it helps.

Not to mention Semaj has to make another enemy because the Paparazzi lady died; that's what that Vlad call was about. Unless he brings her back to life only to drown her in the pool.

I lived in an old house that had the basement entrance, laundry, and a half-bathroom all in one room: The house had been built in the late 1800s, so quite possibly without indoor plumbing, and this small room was just off the kitchen - very likely a pantry and the entrance to the cellar. Later, when flushing toilets and hot piped water became more common, they put the bathroom and then laundry there because it was close to the kitchen (the other room in the house that was getting plumbing) - it just made sense to put all the pipes close together.

Love this series. My favorite by far.

James we would like to see you save up some money and renovate the whole house at the end of the challenge! You know, get rid of all the cracks, change the furniture w actually good ones😝. Love your build videos🎉
