If one were to nitpick, it looks like it could have more camelback on the airtime hill for more thrill and helping it to valley faster. But what a classic backyard coaster design :)

Gus and I had a long conversation about that. Challenge was finding the sweet spot that gave a thrill without whiplashing the rider. Super short track, super steep drop. But yeah, I agree. Next time, we'll see about finding a bigger site with more vertical to play with. Maybe enough for a loop?

Still at it bro? Awesome to see. I remember one of your very first coasters years ago. Time flies! I learned welding on a flux core. They work great. Though mine was a 220 model that also does 110. I have a 220 line I ran for it years ago. Honestly, most things I just weld with flux core still. Though I can do Stick, MIG, and TIG (if I bought the gun)

110 volt flux can be tough. I'm not the world's best welder for sure. I like my 220 MIG. Not too fancy, but plenty strong :)

@@WillPemble Yeah, for sure. You're not going to be welding any bike frames or structural supports but for fun stuff like this? Will work just fine. I've wanted to start doing MIG, it sounds like the good middle ground. I just haven't found the time to source and buy the bottles of gas. Can't wait to see more coaster videos!

How much did this cost to make?

A super rough guess. The materials cost less than $1,000, the labor was a bit pricey because we were working on a very tight schedule. I reused the wheel assemblies from a previous coaster, so we only really had to buy PVC, lumber, and a thousand screws :)

That's Hollywood for ya! Ben is a super talented creator. From my perspective the real star of that show was this carpenter named Malcom. He helped me with the build every step of the way, brought mad skills, great ideas, and insanely hard work all day, every day. SHOUTOUT TO MALCOM!
