Fun fact: a real Venus colony would actually be a blimp! NASA studied Venus’s upper atmosphere can allow for flight, so having a blimp means you can actually have a sky base.

I heard that Venu’s upper atmosphere is like our atmosphere and we can survive there idk if we can breathe tho (update you can’t I think the upper atmosphere has between the same or hotter temperature that the normal temperature of the earth’s atmosphere)

A little piece of advice Chip. It would probably be better if you assembled the entire structure of the colony and the colony itself in Earth orbit and then take the whole thing to Venus instead of doing multiple launches and it would be better if you had landed in Lavina Planitia, it’s the flattest place on Venus and it’s better to land there than in mountainous terrain.

And i had pain while landing on the moon and doing scent I turned off gimbal so it kept spinning and then docking was so hard! I wanna scream it was so hard it kept making me turn it and adjust so annoying I’m done with SFs I delete it

There IS an area in Venus’ atmosphere where the pressure is ~1 bar and ~30 degrees (Celsius) which could be habitable in a cloud city. Can’t wait to see what Musk will do when he finishes his Mars missions >:)

I recalculated this and taking into consideration that the radius and atmosphere of Venus in sfs don't use the same scale in sfs : 50 km = ⅕ of height Venus atmosphere (250 km) I took ⅕ of of 40 km [height Venus atmo sfs] =8 km So the colony should actuly go 8 km up.

No, a rocket gets fully "deleted" when it touches the ground of the surface of a planet or moon so if it goes like t 0.1 m per second and timewarp like 5-1m times it touches the surface and disappear.

In space flight simulator, planets are 20 times smaller than in real life. This means you just need to take 50 km divide by 20. The answer is 2.5 km. This means for your 500 m tower, you have to stack 5 tower up together

2 suggestions : make a black hole the mass of Stephenson 2-18 and make it binary with Stephenson 2-18 and make a planet naturally(collide a bunch of asteroid and get water, oxygen and nitrogen and other elements like carbon dioxide) and make it binary with another planet (take it from the menu idc) suggestion 2 terraform enceladus
