It's a hell of a drug. Upgraded my rig a few months back, and now I find myself scratching at my neck like a heroine fiend. Got me out here telling my friends that if they front the money for the parts, I'll build them a new PC. No one's taken me up on it yet.

I am currently onboarding a new employee. And one of the perks I snatched them up with was we're gonna give you a business computer. With business RGB. Our chief tech and me will build an all-AMD machine on company dime for a new member of our commune of nerds and I think I just spotted the case to do just that. Once the insanity subsides. That machine looks damn near reasonable while being a just the right amount of ludicrous. Sure beats paying a recruiter.

For an ATX Board, it IS on small side, BUT they doesn't sacrifice thermals [allowing larger HS / air FLOW / etc.] and perk of Cable Mgmt. Do have the likes of TT Core3, if chasing down a low volume / girthy book shape, or CMs Q500L [But Tech Jesus was much disappoint on]

This build is exactly what I've been wanting to see! I'm a designer jumping from a build from 6 years ago that's still capable. Intel 4790k, 32gb and a 780ti. Jumping the Intel ship after 20 years. I'm wanting a 5900x, 64gb build to fit the aesthetics of the Lian-Li Der Baur White PC-011. Excellent job yet again!

Yep nothing mini about it at 43L in volume. Its just a stubby mid tower. There's an actual small formfactor case under development, called the SFFtime N-ATX. Which can fit an ATX PSU(larger than the O11DM's SFX-L), full size ATX motherboard and a full size, triple slot GPU at just 15L in size...

I have this case and it's a lot larger than you might think in person. And yes, the airflow is really good for a case that has a closed front panel. Also, buy cable extensions because a sfx or sfx-l power supply 24 pin cable doesn't usually have a lot of length

I think most people who have this case will probably at some point buy the Lian Li RGB extensions anyway. So shorter cables isn't a biggie.

Please use the right measurements, the original O11D is around that size, the "mini" (airquotes since it's more "normal" size) is around 24% smaller than that (around 42l), so it's right around the same size of the NZXT source 210 you quoted, or other similar standard ATX mid-towers, while most likely feeling abit smaller because of it's cube form factor (not as high and rectangular than your standard mid-tower) The bottom intake delivers fresh air to your GPU, or if you're watercooling, offers some decent options for radiators and res-combo fitment (even in ATX config you can fit a 360 and a 280 in there plus a res combo, even with a long triple-fan GPU, add another 360 rad if you're going for an mATX of smaller board)

If you actually want an affordable mini case that fits (depending on the revision) either a micro atx or a mini itx AND a 3 slot gpu with good airflow, you should look at the Silverstone Sugo series. They are old and don't have side windows. But they are nice to work with, they are small, keep the stuff cool and you can actually afford one.

YES!!! I have been looking for an all-air cooling build in the Lian Li 011 minicase. Really considering to get this case for my next system upgrade. I use a Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 4 cpu heat sink, so this helped a lot! Thank you so much Linus Tech Tips 👍 👍👍

@@agambansal902 Eh. Thats apparently the reason why mini itx is way smaller than micro atx :) Anyways. This PC is proper mid tower and there is literally nothing mini on it. You ain't gonna fit Noctua D15 in mini PC.

well, he also used a pc case you can't get atm as well either. At least for me, newegg doesn't have it listed and even trying his click through, I get dumped to the razor edition of the normal o11 dynamic. Fun fact: a week ago, newegg did have it listed, just sold out. Now it isn't even listed.

that's not SFF at all, that's freaking huge (54L), you take a formD T1 (my current case) and it's 9.5L (and I have a 3 slot gpu and a 240mm radiator in it), even my node 304 (22L) in which you can still put a noctua D15 (yes it fit, that was my old rig) is super small in comparison

@@Uryendel I think the Inwin A1 layout is optimal, the least amount of space used, but still gives you a dual/triple slot for the graphics card AND 160 mm CPU cooler clearance. And that's very hard to come by without any other compromises :) I'd love a T1-like build in that form factor, the T1 does look really beautiful.

@@HesterDW You do know there are SFF cases that have glass panels, if that's what you're chasing. Y'know, like a Cerberus X from Sliger is an ATX case with the option for a windowed side panel, but at like a half of the volume of this one. Costs a pretty penny though.

Fully enclosed cases tend to sell well with folks who doesn't care about looks which is a minority that shrinks by the year.
