Just for the info. I could not rebuild my boats because somebody in the chat said I would cave and rebuild boats, and I'm stubborn.

Step 1. Build a ton of Galleys Step 2. Take naval doctrine that makes them better Step 3. Win every naval battle (especially in coastal provinces and inland seas) Bonus Step 4. Make a flagship that has "Trade power per ship in fleet" and use your galleys like they're light ships to protect trade during peace time.

I know you want to pretend you don't care, but your navy lost because it was almost all transports, and they have almost no combat stats. Build more galleys for combat, and always go at least 20% over your naval force limit with lights, it ends up being more money with protecting trade (especially since your main node, an end node, Venice, is very good). Also buying admirals saves you from rebuilding ships. Even if getting a better admiral is gonna cost you 50dip, if it means losing 2-3 heavies less in a battle, it pays out. (Mandatory "I hate navy too"). Hope this helps!

also being at level 3 diplo tech at that point, if ottomans were at diplo 7 woulda been a substantial difference too
@amalekhАй бұрын
Galleys suck, even in inland seas, literaly all naval combat is "build full combat width of heavies and wipe AI fleets". Don't know why people overcomplicate it

Assault fort ability doesn’t refer to how much it costs to assault. It refers to how efficient your troops are at fighting garrisons while assaulting.

Fun fact, a certain Austrian dictator, after losing his flagship for the third or fourth time, actually got tilted and immediately ordered his entire navy dismantled. Yes, that really happened.
@monetandameron4744Ай бұрын
I delete my navy all the time. Sometimes it’s better to get rid of them, than to have an outdated, obsolete, and costly navy. I just wait until I catch up in tech and create death fleets
@henrikfrandsen6029Ай бұрын
And sometimes it's better to find a good length of rope, let's say two feet of rope, and then proceed to flog your own back. Don't stop just because it hurts. After all it's the pain that brings you closer to Christ. But hey, do what you want, it's just a suggestion. Sink your navy instead, if that is what you want.

I usually play without a navy, almost never trade ships. Id rather have 0 trade ships and fully galleys and declare a blockade war against mamluk then protect trade with ships as Venice

Hey man, big fan of your plays. I've actually started a run recently inspired by the tag switchin I've seen on your videos. A hint from a consumer perspective: Sometimes when I was tired and started your videos I've heard a lot of monotony in your voice - and I didn't focus. So my hint here is: consider thinking about some ways to introduce amplitude of your videos. One way is by tone of voice, another is some video editing tricks that could hep breaking the video into conceptual chunks maybe? like breaking points Good luck on your goal and hope this keeps being fun for you even though it will become a job :)
