Coming up on 1 year since this project I figured I would make a 10 minute build video since I wanted to do it before and never did. I sold the car last year thinking I was moving far away and couldn't keep the car. I hope the new owner is happy with it and loves it as much as I did.

I LOVE that color, it looks great. I sprayed mine in the Dodge color "Sublime" and added holographic metal flake to the clearcoat. It was a real looker! Sadly haven't had the car in years and I regret selling it. It was my first car.

I'm a shade tree mechanic but have no exp with turbos. Looking to put one in my 2001 GT Spyder. I can do most of it myself just not sure how to get all the sensors and hoses. Nor do I know where to look as far as setting it up. Any thoughts?

Reminds me of my first car, a 1999 Eclipse GS OZ Edition with a 5 speed. It was slow as hell but it looked great. My dad has a body shop and we took the entire car apart and fixed the dents and dings, resprayed it "Sublime" which is a lime green Dodge color but the hood, roof, decklid, and spoiler were painted black to give it a 2 tone look. I also sprayed the stock wheels black and installed aftermarket halo headlights and tail lights. Back in the day I used to constantly get compliments on it. I miss that car. Thinking about finding it and fixing it back to the way it was.

Ehhh idk about that, congrats on the new car but I’d suggest researching a little more on that AEM ecu, usually there’s either not enough support or you often get bugs. But if your tuner suggested it then probably get it, my personal opinion, go with haltech.

Glad to see people are still trying to keep DSM's alive. First one I bought in high school back in 98 was a 5spd 96 GS. I ended up putting a turbo kit on it and eventually the trans gave out. So I sold it to a friend pretty cheap, When I was in the Army in the early 2000's I bought a 99 GSX, I dumped a lot of money into that car. In 05 I broke my back and was Medically Discharged from the Army. I sold my GSX during my recovery, to this day I regret letting that car go.

Cool video man! I always loved the look of the Eclipse and the Talon tsi. My sister actually bought a 99 GST brand new.. Literally drove it home from the dealership. We all piled in to let my mom drive it and we ended up getting in a bad crash. 2 minutes from home. My sister was having a mental breakdown after owning the car for an hour. If I could find one in Ohio that didn't have rust all round the shock towers I would totally pick one up. I can see these bringing be money when we get older. The style is timeless to me.

where tf u learned all this. i mean u are not older than 25 and u know how the electric stuff works, u can paint, u can do absolutyly everything. i want to learn that too. there is no way u learned it all by urself by watching videos or just by trying it out. what profession have u learned. i love working on my 50cc motocycle from 1985 and i struggled with the electrics ( and thats only blinker, ignition, lights and horn) so basically not much. its only a 1 cylinder 2stroke engine. i mean the mechanical stuff like disassemling the motor and reassembling is really fun and very easy. but u work on cars man. thats a soooo huge diffrence. i pay sooo much respect. there are sooo much things u have to remember while working on a vehicle( right touque, right oils, what scews u disassemled and where,...).rebuilt my motocycle fully and had so much screws left and dont know where they should be. i mean i did a good job for a 15yaer old( most pll in germany my age are not abled to change tires by themselves).i would love to work on cars but i am too young in germany for that and second problem is i dont know enough about working on cars .what u do is absolutely my dream for the future but i dont know where and how to learn all this. all in all u have amazing skills keep going bro. and sorry that u had to read my little problems but i cant imagine how much u know about working on cars. its like a wonder to me, that a single person can built a car by himself.
