I'm a builder and a huge fan of Victorian homes. This is pure genius! I get so sick of building the same cookie cutter BS that everyone hires us to build. Just copy paste repeat. This is so awesome and different! I'd look forward to going to work everyday if I was building like this

Now that’s wtf i am talking about! I hate modern architecture and wished someone could finally figure out a way to just evolve old school styles with modern touches. This is perfect! I mean, if I was rich and could afford this the only thing I would asked to be changed is, I would want the kitchen, the living room and the dining area to be separate like traditional Victorian style homes would have had. There is something magical about having those separate rooms walking into a different room, like a maze of a house that I just love about older homes.

I can’t wait to share this with my parents and my boyfriend. Aside, this makes me think of all the Sims houses I made back in the day but made into real life. Jaw-dropping.

Don't over-state it. This house does NOT look like it could have been built 100 years ago. It's a fun house, with some nice design elements, but to claim it is Victorian is pushing things a little too far. It's got too many glaringly non-Victorian things about it which just don't tally with Victorian design, even neo-Victorian/ modern blend, such as a double garage door prominently in the facade, and a big projecting semi-circular flat roof. The principal aspect of Victorian design .........its number one criteria, in fact, is decoration. The principle thing about Modernism and post-Modernism is the absence of decoration. That is a circle you'll never be able to square. Victorian design and Modernist/ post-Modernist design are polar opposites. One is the antithesis of the other. Nice fun try, but this is facadism: a bit of fakery. Which isn't to say it hasn't succeeded on it's own terms........it's a nice house.....but the claims made for it are somewhat off the mark, I'm afraid.

they were doing this in the 80s. Not to blow your mind or anything but every victorian house at the time it was built was a “modern victorian house”, and “victorian” more so refers to a timeline. it would be more accurate to say you’ve built a modern queen anne style house which is probably the victorian period style you wanted to remix.

I love the design, it's just the garage in the front detracts from the aesthetic appeal. Victorian-style homes typically feature expansive porches and detached or side garages.

I want my house built Victorian Style with some modern in it as well. Love all the natural sunlight that comes in, the big windows, and how the dinning area was closed off. I want my dinning and kitchen closed off from the rest of the house. Now I want mine built with stone. Natural light brown tones. Thank you for the inspiration.

So I combined my love of mid century modern with my love of goth. This is super similar. Love it!

That main bathroom and study is chefs kiss, absolutely beautiful. I like the minimalism and design of the attic space as well. Those cedar shingles are nice, wont they grey out over the years? If so the house is grey so that may be cool with the owners.

I really love the zen garden as a mix of victorian and zen. I wish the light fixtures were more vintage and used less light woods throughout the home. The woods used for the floor and staircase seem too modern and cliche. It doesn't respect the historical victorian architecture.

I’m going to school for CAD and intend on getting a builders license, I want to build a housing development eventually, not a huge one, maybe 10 homes, but I want all of them to be in s Victorian Style, not necessarily like this, but more ringing into its classic roots, I want large and narrow windows, with vaulted ceilings, and I want them all painted in pastel colors, I need to find land with mature trees because that’s something I’d like as well, and I want a smooth brick road with younger smaller trees in the middle median with flowers and exceptionally landscaped areas… I want my home to be there as well, at the end or the road up higher than the rest

Now I am going to build this in the Sims since I cant afford but damn amazing job!
