Same )). WJ joked so many times about how the viewers would like him to have his boxes organized, that one doesn't bother me, but the inventory choices while looting... oh, man, in every video there are a few moments, when I just want to jump inside the monitor with a BIG question "Why?" :D. Though I understand that most of those almost everyone can repeat, if in certain conditions. When you play so many time you just don't have a peak performance and attention every minute, especially in stress conditions.

The issue with the tugboat is eventually you're going to (if you aren't already) run into clans that go out of their way to nuke every tugboat. Like it only takes a squad of three or four guys using rockets to take the boat down in seconds, and thanks to the bad hitbox, just one or two rockets can immediately empty an occupied boat. It's a really fun, novel idea, assuming clans and stream snipers don't exist.

You need to make a waterbase with an entrance for the tugboat. Probably just an opening, but with shotguntraps.

@@showmeyourbooba From what ive experienced water is completely reworked, sand banks have bigger drop offs and the waves are much higher meaning water bases need design tweaks to work well and keep the tc completely dry(like building deep as we usually do just requires much deeper foundations depending on the part of the shore).

Rust is one of the games I’ve never played and I’m self aware that I wouldn’t be able to play but I can watch these types of videos all day long.. I feel like I know how to play without needing to play just from watching these.. I also like the small nuances such as when you kill a stacked player you don’t immediately loot and you let your partner check the loot before taking it.

Sorry man but it's only feeling that you know how to play this game from videos. If you dont play it on your own, you never feel the level of emotions player experience, which is extreme. Watching videos is realy the relaxation. Grab the mouse and you'll feel diferent.. Also let other player check the loot is only good for streaming and screen capture because both of them makes their own video edit so they want to his both viewers to see it. In real game you say omg hes loaded while looting and then check after you are safe. But nice attention for details. Caution ⚠ this game is pretty addictive.

There are a lot of servers that are modded to be easier to noobs or even just full PVE as opposed to the vanilla PVP gameplay, It's growing in popularity among the less skilled and reflexive because of it. If you have a rig capable of playing it, I'd recommend dipping your toes into one of those servers. I played on a couple PVE servers for a wipe and there are alot of 30+ y/o gamers who are paying to keep these servers active.

They can pump out content, yes. A balanced game? Not so much. If a tug boat can be practically one shot then they wouldn't have even been invented. It takes a good 3 large vessel torpedoes to actually sink a tug boat relatively fast irl. To see it be sunk in seconds well it kinda hit me like a brick. My grandfather worked on one for a living. The boat sunk during WW2 because of... well ya know what was happening during those times. He didn't survive and the boat is at the bottom of the ocean somewhere.

Well, at least the bad hitboxes make the doors a bit more tanky, maybe that's actually a good thing considering you can protect the rooms only with one door. So it's at least not as bad as having only one steel door at a normal base.

The Tugboat thing looks more like a heavy duty transport ship then a possible base. Maybe it can be used to help building a big base in the far distant ocean tiles. Is it possible to make a Tugboat garage? well just some random thoughts. Great video!

yes however the tugboat does decay. I believe it starts decaying after 24 hours and you reset that timer by turning on the engine

Amazing to get this video out this quick, thanks Willjum! I understand your frustration on Twitter after seeing what happened, but I'd be more sad about the hitbox issue - which honestly they gotta fix soon, look at all the different hitboxes for walls, it's maddening. Tugboats are too OP for clans, it gives them even more respawns. I think it's alright to make them fairly vulnerable. Cheers, Will!!

I have an idea for a duo to 4man video. On wipe day build a base in shallow water but on the water side deep enough for the tug boat. Once you can build a compound the boat would be safe from subs. I loved the way you used the tug boat as storage while you used the small boats to loot the ocean. Imagine taking the tug boat to take oil or labs. All the loot you normally have to leave you could bank it all. Labs would be crazy on a large pop server. Constantly running loot back to tub boat at the surface. I wonder if you can land a mini on top of a tug boat. Thanks for the great video.

I was thinking about something like this, but I highly doubt a tugboat would fit through an external gate. You'd have to leave a path open for it. Do turrets target enemy subs? If so I was thinking maybe something like an L shaped china wall with turrets lining the inside. you could park the boat beyond the bend so subs wouldn't have a clear line of sight to fire torpedoes from the outside and the turrets would at least be a deterrent against people just swimming in the back.

For the door glitch, i feel like once you found a spot that hit you keep hitting it. You looked around or moved after every shot. I understand looking around, but i think its better to have 1 person hit every shot and the other on lookout.

Id say the tug would be useful for clearing out all the area as you can put storage on it. But as a mobile base it is lacking in several areas. Still seems mainly clan best usage as you could leave a couple ppl aboard to defend it

@Willjum isnt a sunken tugboat the perfect base? unless it despawns after some time due to beeing sunken. getting a load of diving tanks never seemed like an issue to me back when i played. the question is if one can place stuff in a sunken tug it seemed like boxed get autodestroyed before it sinks to prevent abusing it.

I wonder if they made the hit box more difficult on tugboat since you can’t add more defense to the boat which would make sense. It be nice to have traps and maybe build some small walls inside just to make separate rooms. Hope they add more too it. They should add a make shift skateboard like they did with paddles or boards for water. So a small way to travel if you don’t want a horse.
