I bought Mystery boxes in 2020 at the height of the pandemic as a way for easy content and to support one of my favorite stores, 2nd and Charles. This time, it was a different 2nd and Charles and their condensed media section made me buy another one and I'm happy that I did!!!!

EntertainMart has mystery boxes. I have never done it. I don't see what their motivation would be to put actual good stuff in there. ha. They definitely carry boutique titles and have a Criterion section with a lot of used DVDs. Used Criterions are still priced high, so it still feels too much even with their Buy 2 Get 1 Free sales.

Young Mr. Lincoln is one of Ford’s greatest films, The Lady Eve is one of Preston Sturges’s greatest films, Mean Streets is a masterpiece. Why would you not be adding these to your collection if you don’t have them already?

Yeah, I have thousands of other movies I would rather watch. I'm personally not into pre-60's cinema except for some exceptions. Judging what I want to watch is a bit lame

HA!! The Stargate "Ultimate Edition." I got suckered into buying that version. It sucks!! They just slapped the title on a movie with hardly any extra features.

Some great titles in the box - you'll definitely make some profit with it. That Ned Kelly title goes for quite a bit in Australia.

Do you ever think about getting a buffer machine for light scratch DVDs?. I have one JFJ easy pro it comes in handy when you find something rare and you wanna clean it. It’s the same machine they use at 2nd & Charles, half price books among other used movie stores

I have thought about it but the biggest issues with it are cost and space. Although, I'm sure all it would take is a few crazy finds to make it worthwhile

@@DownToMovie the machine itself is a decent price. It’s when you run out of the compound solution and the pads to buffer with. It’ll add up once in a while. But it still well worth getting.
